Collier sent $2,300 to her daughter along with a cryptic note. She also bought a torch lighter, poncho and tarp before her naked body was discovered in the woods.

Debbie Collier was found dead in her home naked and partially burnt in the woods one day prior to the crime scene. 13 miles away, surveillance footage captured Debbie Collier shopping at Family Dollar.

Collier, 59 was found in the woods in Habersham County in Georgia on September 11. On September 10, at 2:55 pm, she was captured entering the store on surveillance video. The victim spent 14 minutes shopping.

Habersham County Sheriff deputies stated that the footage showed the victim calm and not fearful. "All footage from the store and nearby businesses shows that the victim was in her van alone at the time she visited this store."

She bought a rain poncho and refillable torch lighter as well as a bag, tarp, and paper towels. Collier was found naked with severe burns to her abdomen. A blue tarp was also nearby. One of her hands was still holding a small tree trunk in one hand. The tote bag, according to police, was also found at the crime scene.

According to police, Collier's death time is reduced by the footage taken at the dollar store to 3:09 Saturday and 12:44 Sunday.

We reported previously that the police are treating this case as a murder.

After Sirius XM had pinged the vehicle, Collier's van turned up on a highway in Habersham County. Collier had texted Amanda Bearden one day earlier, saying, "They won't let me go...there is a key to my house in the blue pot by the front door." She also sent her $2,300 via Venmo. Collier was last seen at her home on September 9, 2018.

The vehicle was not locked and unlocked. Officers began searching the forest around the highway for evidence of a fire. Officers found what appeared to be the remains a fire and discovered a partially burned tarp before finding Collier's corpse.

Collier's daughter stated that her mother had no history of mental illness or suicidal tendencies.

No arrests have yet been made.
