Sydney Sweeney, and Glen Powell embark on a fake romantic comedy in Anyone But You.

Sony Pictures released the first teaser trailer of the film on Thursday. In it, Sweeney, Powell, and their friends pretend to be real couples at an Australian wedding. The chemistry between the characters is unquestionable. The trailer teases that there will be some steamy romantic moments in the film.

According to Sony, the synopsis states: "In the edgy, contemporary comedy Anybody But You Bea (Sydney Sweeney), and Ben (Glen Powell), appear like the ideal couple. However, after a first date that was amazing, something happened that turned their hot attraction into ice. They were then forced together by chance at an Australian destination wedding. They do what two mature adults do: they pretend to be together.

Also starring in the film are Alexandra Shipp and GaTa.

This is the first Anyone But You trailer. The film was in the news earlier this year after fans speculated Sweeney and Powell had taken their onscreen romance Off-Screen when photos and videos circulated online. Powell also split from his girlfriend Gigi Paris around the time of this trailer, which fueled rumors. Sweeney has been engaged with Jonathan Davino since over a year.

Sweeney responded to the romance rumorss that circulated between her and Powell during an August interview with Variety . The actress said that she and her co-star were simply giving fans what they wanted, and laughed at the rumors.

She laughed and said, "It's just a romcom." "That's exactly what the people want!" Glen and I aren't bothered. We respect each other and have so much fun. He's a very hard worker and I am too. We're both excited about the press tour and I just left ADR together. "We talk about it all the time, like 'That is really funny.

Sweeney continued, "They want it." It's fun giving it to them.

Anyone But You is coming to theaters on 22 December
