Sweeney Rocks A Look Zendaya Has Worn Before

Sweeney wore an all-black, high-necked dress for the GQ Men of the Year Awards. A cutout was made above her chest to show off a shiny breastplate. The actress paired it with a chic updo and matching jewelry.

This is a look Zendaya has worn before on the red carpet. To the 2020 Critics’ Choice Awards, Zendaya wore a hot pink, breastless bralette paired with a matching pink chiffon maxi.

Zendaya wore a different version of this style in 2021 at Women in Film Honors ceremony. From her sternum to her waist, the gray, fitted gown had a large chest plate in gold. Accessorized with matching gold jewelry and slicked-back locks, she wore matching earrings.

Zendaya is well-known for her bold fashion sense. The actress has been praised for her unique looks and is often on the best-dressed list. Sweeney seems to be trying to make a name in the fashion industry, as she was recently ridiculed online for wearing ballet slippers during a photo shoot.

Some dancers criticised Sweney's pose. They criticized her poor form as well as the stylists who improperly prepared the ballet shoes for the shoot. One TikTok user pointed out that Sweney's en-pointe pose was wrong and that the ribbons were not in the correct place.

Sweeney was defended by others, arguing that the shoot was meant to honor dancing and that it didn't have to be strictly ballet-inspired. Although many people didn't like the look, fashion critics loved her Zendaya-inspired bralette gown.
