Taylor Frankie Paul Returns to TikTok with Boyfriend After Domestic Violence Arrest

After an incident in which Paul allegedly hurt boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, and her daughter, the Mormon mom was taken into custody.

Taylor Frankie Paul's boyfriend Dakota Mortensen and she are trying to make a comeback -- together -- one month after she was arrested for domestic violence.

Paul, who has more than 4,000,000 followers on TikTok, and is part the #MomTok Community, was taken into custody in Herriman (Utah) on February 17, after police responded to a report of domestic violence. Two felony counts of domestic abuse in the presence and one count of aggravated attack were filed against her (via CBS News).

According to a probable cause statement Paul started hitting his boyfriend Dakota Mortensen after he tried leaving during an argument. The incident is captured on video. It shows Paul hitting Mortensen with a bar stool and his daughter. Page Six reports that the police report stated that the girl suffered a bump on the head. Authorities called it a "goose eggs" and the chairs left holes in the walls.

She has not publicly acknowledged her arrest.

Although Dakota had been posting on TikTok occasionally since Taylor's arrest in March, her TikTok page has remained dormant for the last month. She posted again over the weekend -- sharing new videos and Mortensen, putting on an united front.

She captioned the video she posted on Saturday, "It's been just a minute," The clip shows the couple waking up together and going to bed. After brushing their teeth, they go to the gym to work out. They also shop at Trader Joe's. Paul then says, "That wraps up our day." We're going to eat lunch and we're going to look at houses. Thank you for your support.

The video doesn't mention why she hasn't posted in a minute -- although comments were full of mentions of her arrest.

The pair posted a second video of them dancing on Sunday while answering a question by a fan asking if she was "always" a Mormon or just recently converted.

They claimed that they were both LDS-born and raised. She captioned, "Don't let anyone make you feel bad about going to church even if you aren't perfect. Church is for the imperfect."

Mortensen added, "Hahaha! I literally can't dance!" as fans again wondered if they would ever address domestic violence arrests as a duo. They haven't.

They also ignored all the Instagram chatter, and Paul made Instagram official by sharing their first Instagram photo together. This was despite them being together for months via TikTok.

She captioned the PDA photos, "Hey guys, meet my boyfriend I've dated for 6 months, his nickname is Dakota."

He also shared the photos to his Facebook page, writing, "Literally, I've never had more fun in my life with a girl than I have with Taylor. I know that our paths were meant for each other and I hope to be a part of her life for a lot longer."

Mortensen, who was also officially charged by police last month, took to his TikTok account -- with around 330K followers -- to address some of the speculation and backlash that had come his way following Paul's arrest.

Mortensen called the entire situation "just sucks", before going on to praise Paul for being a mother. Taylor is the mother of daughter Indy, 5 years old, and Ocean, 2 years old. She shares her home with Tate Paul, who was reportedly at home at the time.

He said, "If there is one thing I know, it's that she's an amazing mom and she loves her children so much." You guys can all assume the worst, that's what you do. It's something I have seen and know.

"I will be there to support her. He continued, "But I'm a recovering addiction, rock bottom was where I was many times in my lifetime and I wish I had people who loved me at those times that left and walked out on me." I won't do that to her. "I will be there to support her and assist her in any way that I can."

Mortensen reaffirmed that "this entire thing sucks," before referring "everybody just twisting stories and making up assumptions." After thanking his supporters, Mortensen concluded that "this whole thing sucks," before referring to "everybody just twisting the stories and making up assumptions."

Paul's next court date has been set for Tuesday, February 21st.
