Taylor Swift Eras Tour Security Guard Claims He Was Fired After Asking Fans for a Photo

Taylor Swift Eras Tour Security Guard Claims He Was Fired After Asking Fans for a Photo

The guard said, "I made sure Taylor Swift and her fans were safe above all else." "As long I was there, I did my job."

A Minneapolis security guard who worked on the Taylor SwiftEras tour claims that he was terminated for asking fans to take his picture.

Calvin Decker went viral after a TikTok video was posted in June showing him singing along with "Cruel Summer", as Taylor performed.

Decker shared a video after the viral video that detailed his security job.

Decker shared, "After night 1, I realized how close Taylor Swift got to me. I wanted to take a picture to document this." Decker said, "I handed down little papers that stated I was not allowed to have my mobile out but if Taylor Swift came right behind me please take a picture of me and send it to my number." "I gave this to two people who were in the front rows for night 2 and they were very kind and sweet about it."

Decker continued his saga, posting an "unexpected" update to the story, in which he claimed that he was fired by Best Crowd Management for violating their rule which prohibited staff from taking photos with performers.

Decker revealed that the woman from HR who called her was unable to explain what she did wrong because I had done nothing more than ask for photos. This is exactly what you do at every concert. The only difference was that I ensured I received any pictures in which I appeared. "Every photo I took that night came from behind the barricade, just like any other fan's photo." I never removed my phone."

Decker added, "And I also made sure Taylor Swift and her fans were safe." "As long I was there, I did my job."

Decker then claimed that he had been allowed to work with the company for a concert by Ed Sheeran at US Bank Stadium more than a week later.

He said that he had spoken to a few managers to ensure he wouldn't make any videos. However, a number of them were very cool and gave him a second chance.

Decker, however, claims that after working security for seven hours, HR terminated his job.

He said that he "had no grudges" against his employer and asked for followers to refrain from sending any negative messages.

Best Crowd Management is yet to comment on the numerous media requests for comment.
