Tech Mogul Uses Teenage Son's Blood in Quest for Eternal Youth

Tech Mogul Uses Teenage Son's Blood in Quest for Eternal Youth

Bryan Johnson, who spends over $2 million per year on anti-aging initiatives, posted a YouTube video describing his experience participating in "the first multi-generational exchange of plasma ever" with both his son, 17, and father, 70.

The search for the secret to eternal youth has been a lifelong pursuit of a multi-millionaire technology mogul.

Last month, Bryan Johnson who spends over $2 million per year on anti-aging, got a plasma transfusion by his son Talmage. He wanted to see if the blood would make him look "younger."

In a video that Bryan posted on his YouTube channel, the 45 year old, his son and Richard, his 70-year-old father, took part in "the first multigenerational plasma exchange in history." The three Johnsons visited Resurgence Wellness in Arlington, Texas.

Chris Chapelle, the owner of the wellness center, says that plasma exchanges are done "probably for the last eight to ten years" but are often used for hair regrowth, not anti-aging.

Talmage was the first to be transfused during the multi-generational transfusion of Johnson's men. Talmage had a blood liter removed and then Johnson received it. Johnson also gave his father a liter ofplasma.

Talmage, who didn't get a blood transfusion, said he was happy to be part of this journey and to donate plasma to both his father and grandpa.

He said, "I was thrilled to be able to take part in a Blueprint Therapy that would reverse my age and the age of my father, as well as my grandpa, all at once."

Johnson said that his son had been following Project Blueprint for "two years." According to the website of the initiative, which was launched in 2021, it "aims to fight entropy" by maintaining perpetual youth and "maximally reducing your rate of aging."

The tech entrepreneur, who is known as the most measured person on Earth, "take[s] hundreds [of] measurements of my 70+ organs. This allows my heart, liver and lungs to tell me what they require to be at their optimal state."

Johnson said in a video posted on YouTube Monday that the blood test results of his son and him are "almost identical."

Johnson ends the 15-minute video by reflecting on his experience. He describes it as "emotional," beautiful and sweet.

This trip was amazing. He said that it exceeded his expectations in all possible ways. "The multigenerational plasma [transfusion] was the first ever done in [the] [world].

Johnson continued, "It was also an emotional experience for Talmage and my father, as well as myself." We were able reconcile. We were divided by our minds, but we were united by our biology. It was sweet, caring, loving and one of the most beautiful moments of my life.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued an advisory regarding the transfusion of so-called "young" blood, stating that there is "no proven clinical benefit to the infusions of plasma from younger donors for such conditions as aging, memory loss or dementia, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer's Disease, heart disease or post-traumatic disorder."

Bloomberg broke the story about Johnson's family and their trigenerational blood swap.

Charles Brenner, biochemist and City of Hope National Medical Center, Los Angeles spoke with the outlet. The scientist said that those who receive plasma infusions to combat aging "basically" have anxiety problems.

He added, "We don't know enough to say that this is an effective human treatment." "To me, this is gross, without evidence and potentially dangerous."

Johnson made his fortune with his mobile and online payments system Braintree. This company acquired Venmo, in 2012. PayPal acquired Venmo in 2012.

According to Fortune magazine, Johnson's networth is estimated at $400 million.
