Police claim he asked for help with disposing of the body, but the teen said the death was an accident.
Last Friday, a 16-year old from Bensalem in Pennsylvania was arrested after he allegedly claimed that he had killed a 13 year-old girl in an Instagram video.
A press release by Bensalem Police states that authorities responded to a 911 call regarding possible homicide. The parent of a young girl claimed her daughter received an Instagram video chat message from a friend, "stating that he had just murdered someone".
"He then turned the video image upside down and showed the feet and legs of someone who was covered in blood. Police responded that he asked for help in disposing of the body.

Joshua Cooper was later identified as the teen who made the video. He allegedly "ran out from the back of the trailer" after police arrived at the scene. According to an affidavit stating probable cause, Cooper was arrested by cops. Her parents were able to identify the victim thanks to the jewelry that she wore.
Police later found Cooper and charged him with criminal homicide and possessing instruments of crime. Cooper was denied bail and sent by police to Edison Juvenile Detention Center.

Cooper, according to the affidavit said that it was an accident and that he would be "going into jail for the rest my life." According to the Inquirer Cooper also stated that his father was going to kill him.
Cooper told police that he gained access to his father's safe by "replacing the batteries his father had taken, which had rendered the combination lock inoperable", and then he removed the ammunition and firearms from the scene of the teenager's death. Cooper also allegedly told police that the victim visited him and they watched a Netflix series together before he went to the bathroom. Cooper allegedly claimed he didn’t accompany the victim to the toilet, but Cooper and his mother “terminated” the interview at that time.
Cooper will appear before the court on December 7.
