Texas man has died after he allegedly pulled a gun on his girlfriend while she was working at a bar in Austin.
Gavin Rush, 41, an attorney, was found dead on Thursday at 4:25 PM. The Austin Police Department confirmed the death to Fox News Digital after a welfare check. The death is not suspicious, and an investigation is ongoing," the Austin Police Department said. They did not reveal how he died.
According to CBS Austin, Rush was facing a felony accusation of aggravated assault using a deadly weapon involving familial violence earlier in the week. He allegedly confronted his ex girlfriend while she was working behind the bar at Anderson Mill Pub.
Mackenzie Kelly, Austin Councilmember, shared the video to Twitter earlier this weeks. He captioned the security footage: "Earlier this week there had been a shooting at a bar in my area." The attorney is currently behind bars and awaiting a long jury of his peers. This video has deeply disturbed me and I am committed to a safe place.
The clip shows a man entering a bar and talking to one of the bartenders. The man then grabs his bag and pulls out the gun from it. He is immediately knocked to the ground by the two men at his bar. As he takes at least one shot, some debris can be seen flying.
According to police, three shots were fired but no one was hurt.

Fox 7 Austin reports that Rush and the victim had been in a relationship for three years. The relationship ended around a month and half ago. According to police, he wanted to reconcile with her and sent her "several text messages" threatening to harm her new partner. He allegedly tried to reconcile her by sending "several texts" that threatened to harm her and her new partner. He allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at her, activating a laser sight.
Two men held Rush down until police arrived. Fox News obtained the police affidavit. Rush "placed his gun under his chin, and tried to kill himself," Fox News reported. But one of the men did not touch the trigger.
Rush was released earlier this week on a $40,000 bond -- but Fox Austin said that Rush would only need to pay approximately 10%, or $4,000. CBS Austin reports that the victim received an emergency protection order.
His law firm issued a statement stating that he had resigned. They stated that they did not condone hatred or violence and added that their thoughts were with those who suffered a severe trauma that day.
