The Band Perry Announces 'Creative Break' as a Group

Are we done with the band?

For the foreseeable future, The Band Perry will no longer be a band.

The trio, which consisted of Neil Perry, Reid, and Kimberly Perry, announced their dissolution on Monday.

"We wanted you to know that we have decided to take some time off as a group, and each of us will focus on our own creative pursuits," the trio shared in an Instagram statement.

They added that they would continue to support one another as artists and families in all they do during this season. "Thanks for helping our childhood dreams become a reality!"

Republic Nashville's Big Machine imprint signed the country group in 2009 and released their debut album, entitled "All Your Life," in 2010. It featured a number their biggest hits including "If You Die Young", "You Lie" as well as "All Your Life."

Their 2013 follow-up album, "Pioneer," was released and produced several other big hits such as "Better Dig Two," DONE and "Don't let me be lonely." Big Machine didn't release a third album despite them telling Rolling Stone that they had recorded one.

Reid stated that it was "just one of those situations where we were in an genre that was changing itself." "And we were at a point where people on our teams and in our careers felt like we had to align ourselves with this genre changing."
