Tattoos have a special meaning. They can be a memory of a memorable moment, or even a song line. Celebrities and actors who get tattoos often choose to mark important milestones in their careers, such as wrapping up a TV or film. Some of these celebrities decide to have a permanent reminder about those important projects - and sometimes even get the rest the cast involved!

1. Cast of "The Avengers"

After "Avengers: Infinity War" wrapped, five of the original "Avengers' cast members got tattoos that were dedicated to the franchise. Scarlett Johansson was the one who came up with the idea and was first to get tattooed alongside Chris Evans. Jeremy Renner, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth all followed suit.

"We both have a 'Avengers tattoo'. Mark Ruffalo is the only one who does not have it, mainly because he is lame. We tried to convince him. We asked, "What if we did it in white? ... If we did it on water? He shut down the party. He's a real party-pooper! Scarlett stated on "Late Night With Seth Meyers" that he was a party pooper.

2. Tom Holland

Tom Holland got inked with the Spider-Man logo on the bottom of the foot. Tom Holland admits that it was painful, and he had to get it done 3 times because the tattoo kept fading.

"It hurts so much!" The opportunity presented itself to me. I had always wanted the Spider-Man logo on the bottom of the sole of my foot but never imagined that it would be possible. Tom explained that he had to do it three times because the symbol faded away on your bottom foot.

3. Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga has a tattoo on her back in honor of "A Star Is Born." Winter Stone tattooed a rose stem down Gaga's spine with the help of Gaga. The tattoo also included the words "La Vie En Rose", one of her first songs in the film and the song that Bradley Cooper heard that convinced him to cast her in the film.

Gaga posted on Instagram: "A tattoo toast for 'la vie de rose' by @winterstone. My spinal cord is a rose."

4. The cast of "Suicide Squad".

The entire cast and crew of "Suicide Squad", in 2015, decided to get tattooed to commemorate the film. Margot Robbie purchased a tattoo machine on Ebay to replace the professional artist. She inked the majority of tattoos which said "SKWAD." She also tattooed director David Ayer, while dressed in Harley Quinn.

"Everyone got it. She said, "People, honestly, would pop into the trailer in between lighting setups and get one," on "The Tonight Show."

5. Emilia Clarke

Emilia Clarke, who wrapped up the final season of Game of Thrones in April 2016, got a dragon tattoo on her wrist. She shared the tattoo, which was created by Dr. Woo wrote that she wanted to make sure "this mama ain't forgetting her kids."

6. Maisie Williams & Sophie Turner

Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner and other BFFs also got matching "Game of Thrones tattoos. The duo inked the date "07.08.09" on a day when they were not filming. This was the day they learned they were cast.

We always wanted them, so we tattooed the date 07.08.09 because that was the date we both found out that we had landed our roles in Game Of Thrones. Sophie told Elle UK that when they had a free day from filming, they went to the tattoo shop and got their tattoos.

Sophie got a direwolf tattoo and the phrase, "the pack survived" after filming was completed.

7. Cast of "The Lord of the Rings".

Elijah Wood came up with the idea to get matching tattoos for the cast of "The Lord of the Rings". The group received the Elvish symbol of "nine," the number of Fellowship of the Ring members.

"Elijah... I believe it was his idea. Sean Astin revealed that he and Viggo Mortensen arranged for a tattooist, who opened his shop on a Sunday morning.

8. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul

The cast and crew of "Breaking Bad" decided to create a permanent tribute after Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul finished filming. The set decorator who was also a tattooist inked everyone who requested one. Aaron chose to have "no half-measures" tattooed on his bicep, while Bryan went for something more subtle. He decided to have the "Breaking Bad' elements logo tattooed on the inside part of his finger.

"I wanted something...something that would give me private personal pleasure, like when I pass by and catch a glimpse of a picture of my mom, or my old manager. People who have passed away. It seemed right. "Breaking Bad" changed my life," he said to GQ.

9. Cast of "Pretty Little Liars".

Troian Belisario, Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell of "Pretty Little Liars" as well as Lucy Hale and Janel parrish all received matching tattoos after the filming of the final season was completed. The group chose to have the initials for their characters tattooed inside their right index fingers -- also known as their "shh finger" - which has become an iconic feature of the show.

"This happened. We are grateful to @shamrocksocialclub who took care of us. We had to get tattoos as a way to remember the show. Lucy posted on Instagram that she had tattooed the'shh finger'.

10. The cast of "Shadowhunters".

Katherine McNamara, star of "Shadowhunters", revealed that the cast of the show decided to get matching tattoos as a tribute to the series after the first season ended. The group chose to have the angel rune tattooed, which was special for the characters they played on the show.

Katherine revealed to Seventeen that "we all got angel rune tattooed." It's usually the first tattoo a 'Shadowhunter' gets in their training. It is a symbol of power and blessing, and I have found this show to be all of these things. It has taught me a lot and made me a stronger individual. "I couldn't imagine a better way to share this tattoo with the entire family who's come together."
