The revelation shocked her costars, with Danielle Fishel swearing that it had never happened.

Trina McGee, the "Boy Meets World” star, was the only regular to not appear in the series' finale. She also appeared on a podcast with some former costars and explained why she has been dealing with pain for over 20 years.

McGee was Angela Moore's girlfriend on the ABC sitcom. She spoke out alongside Strong, Danielle Fishel, and Will Friedle to discuss their Pod Meets World podcast. She said that she was told she would be cut from the last episode of the series in 2000.

"This is ground we haven't covered. A very important person told me, in a strange, off-handed manner, that you all went to Michael Jacobs. You said, "We don't want her on the last episode." She's somehow taking out our light. She told them that was "the gist" of it, which elicited shocked reactions from the costars.

"I was told this after I had shot the show that preceded the last episode. It was called Angela's Ashes. I was then asked why I was leaving. She continued recalling that Michael had announced to her, "Oh, we're going do another show about Angela," and she was thrilled, not knowing it was going to be the last show.

"Because it was the last show that would have the highest ratings, with all the crying and all. She continued, "I was under the impression that y'all got together but didn't want me in the final show. For some reason I was going be some shine or some such thing." "That was really hurtful for me for a while."

McGee stated that her family even wondered why McGee was excluded, which made McGee realize how strange it was. McGee said, "I honestly have that in my brain for 20 years."

Friedle said, "Can we just say, Trina that it never happened," Fishel added, "I swear on my children's lives," before Will stated that he had sworn on his wife and marriage. He exclaimed, "This pisses off, I'm sorry. This is next level crazy."

"I believe in you. McGee replied, "I can tell by your responses." "I've had that thought in my head for so many years, but I have never seen that show. I've always felt like, ugh. It hurt me for a long time."

McGee and Fishel also recall being pitted against one another and feeling coldness back in the day. They both added that they have sorted things out over the years as they shared their experiences. "How disappointing that we couldn't talk about this from the start. Fishel added that we could have helped one another."

Although Shawn and Angela were interracial couples on the show, it was not addressed in the script. McGee also took issue with this, but kept her job. She claimed that she wrote an opinion piece for the New York Daily News in defense of the fact that the show did not mention the interracial relationship. However, she said the piece was written by her husband and a publicist.

"I did not want to accept it and it wasn’t entirely my organic view. Funny thing is, Lorraine Toussaint wrote a rebuttal to the Daily News. She stated, "No, you must admit that these are different races getting along." She recalled that it was very serious. "I read her words and I kind of agreed with them."

She said, "If I could do it again and take my true stance of hindsight on everything, I would write the opposite article." I would have encouraged more of us to make jokes about the differences, or to have an episode in which you visit my house and the food tastes different.

She later said to her co-stars, "There are so much things you guys are so fortunate you didn't need to think about."
