The mother of the 16 year old victim screamed at the killer, blaming her for raising the "monster" to be.

On Tuesday, a violent fight broke out after a Texas man who was accused of killing his teenage girl pleaded guilty to the murder.

Frank DeLeon Jr., in exchange for 45 years in prison, pleaded guilty to the murder of Diamond Alvarez in January 2022. She was allegedly shot 22 times after discovered that he had cheated on her, and did not want her to reveal the relationship to the other woman.

He texted her, "Don't ruin it for me", before they met to discuss in a park nearby. Then he killed her.

Anna Machado, Alvarez’s mother, gave an impact speech in court on Tuesday. She reportedly described DeLeon Jr. as a "monster", and blamed the mother of his son for bringing him up that way. She then lunged, but was restrained, at the killer of her daughter as she left the courtroom. Alvarez's father did the same.

KHOU reports that a fight broke out between Alvarez's mother and DeLeons before the families separated and the uncle taken into custody.

It is unclear whether he will be charged.

Alvarez’s family addressed the media after the hearing. Machado apologized for her actions.

"That was wrong, and it was wrong for us because we are not monsters." She said, "It's so much hatred, because I want to get my daughter back and what he has done was horrific." "Seeing my child there, looking at him and that he laughed at me, was wrong. I am so sorry." It shouldn't have happened, but unfortunately it did."

She added, "When I am wrong, I'm not wrong and I accept it."

She continued by saying that DeLeon had shown no remorse. "No, I saw him laughing at me. He's been smiling all this time. It's funny to laugh, make fun. Life is no joke. "My daughter is not a joke."

"I have fought for justice and finally my daughter is getting justice. He will be there for at least 45 years. I won't get my daughter ever again. I want to get her back but I can't. She added, "Hopefully he will regret what he has done." But that's his fault. He has to now face the consequences. "I thank God for justice."

DeLeon will not be eligible for parole until at least 22,5 years. He will be back in court for his formal sentencing on Thursday.
