A Houston woman says an intruder destroyed and broke into her apartment, then switched out his underwear with hers.

Ring cameras appear to show a man wandering through the complex in only the victim's underwear and t-shirt after the break-in.

Allana Mitchell told local FOX 26 that she had left her apartment on October 14, for a catering position, and did not return until 3:40 am the following morning.

It was as if it were locked from the inside. "I went around the building to see my lights were on," said she, upon arriving at home. "I never do this. There was even some stuff that had been thrown from my balcony.

Houston Police was called but, due to liability concerns, would not open the door for Mitchell. Mitchell says that her calls to the apartment management went unanswered for the entire weekend. However, on Monday, building maintenance was able open the door.

She discovered a nightmare.

She told FOX 26 that there was food on the floor and everything was a mess. "The water was flowing." "I lost everything."

She found underwear and clothes belonging to someone else, but some of her own were missing.

Mitchell said that "My neighbor’s Ring camera captured him knocking at doors." He was wearing my underwear, and the t-shirt that I had worn to sleep in the previous night. "His underwear and hospital shirt were on the floor."

Mitchell then claimed that the building management views the incident as a personal matter. She also said she was informed her key fob had been used at the time of the break-in. However, all the key fobs in the building are present and accounted for.

How is this personal? I don't even know him. She told reporters that they could show a bit more compassion in this situation. "I spoke with the regional manager and she told me that they are in training. But I do not feel as though you need to be trained to show compassion."

FOX 26 reports that there was another break-in reported in the same building on the same night.

Mitchell owns a firearm, but she said that she discovered it when she regained entry to her apartment Monday.

According to local media, the authorities have not yet named any suspects and are still conducting an investigation.

FOX 26 reached out to Mitchell's Apartment Complex but has not heard back.
