Gorilla Nems, a Brooklyn-based musician hosted an episode in April 2021 and accidentally created a TikTok trend. Nems imitates the show's intro at various points during the episode by calling out "bing bong!" It was his catchphrase that quickly became his favorite to punctuate the opinions of his interview subjects and express his excitement.

On to October, Sidetalk filmed Knicks fans following a game. You can hear someone calling out "Bing bong!" amid the crowd cheering. The clip quickly became viral among Knicks fans and spread to other parts of the internet.

TikTokers took audio clips from Sidetalk, and combined them to create a master audio with memorable phrases. The audio can be used to tell everything, from makeup tutorials to videos of friends having fun with each other.

While "Bing bong", is the most well-known phrase in the video, a fan-favorite line was uttered by one of Nems interview subjects. Nems asks the man who is the president. The man replies, "Joe Byron." Nems continues the interview by asking him, "What do I wanna tell Joe Byron right away?" The man responds "What's the matter, baby?" I'd like to go out for dinner.

Another audio clip was also taken from the interview and went viral during Thanksgiving. Nems asks the man again, "What are your thankful for this Thanksgiving?" He replies, "Beans and rice, Jesus Christ, Byron."

The sound clips are all about New York. However, TikTok users around the globe are creating videos using the audio. Over half a million TikToks have used the original sound clip, with celebrities like Lil Nas X making videos using the sound. This phrase is so well-known that it has even been used to create merch.
