While many of the Friends actors continue to appear in movies and TV shows, Matt LeBlanc's low profile has left his fans puzzled. The celebrity decided to stop acting for now, as he has a new role that he is excited about.

The actor explained to ET at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles Gala why he's taking a break from acting. LeBlanc said, "I'm taking some leave right now." "I just enjoy not having to do any of it--it's been very nice."

LeBlanc may be enjoying his break, but he is still working. He's actually serving a great cause, as demonstrated by his appearance at the gala for Children's Hospital Los Angeles. LeBlanc is passionate to work with children and the hospital's care for the community.

Although the actor is a father to his 18-year-old-daughter, Marina, it wasn't paternal instinct that drove LeBlanc to help out. LeBlanc stated that he doesn't believe you have to be a parent in order to see the value of what they do here. "I became involved with the hospital when I was with CBS. They do a thing where actors from other shows come down to give toys to children around Christmas. It's just to see their faces and to witness the amazing work they do. It's incredible."

LeBlanc now has the opportunity to see more of the hospital's efforts because he's been working with it for years. "They've got cutting edge technology," he said. They're constantly developing new technologies, while on the other hand, they serve over 600,000.00 children from all around the globe every year. It is a fantastic, wonderful place. It was amazing to see it firsthand. It was amazing to see the parents and children. So I became involved."

Children's Hospital Los Angeles claims to be one of the country's top pediatric hospitals. They have been serving the Los Angeles community as a non-profit hospital since 1901. This award-winning hospital has been recognized for offering some of the finest care in the country. It is no surprise that LeBlanc is so passionate about helping such a worthy cause.
