Many people remember Orlando Brown, the actor who starred in Major Payne alongside Damon Wayans. He also played Eddie Thomas on That's So Raven. This was a Disney Channel comedy that ran from 2003 to 2007. Brown's promising career began with a successful start. However, he was plagued by controversies that included legal battles, drug involvement, and bizarre comments about celebrities. Brown's erratic, sometimes bizarre, and sometimes surprising public persona drew a lot of negative publicity.

In 2016, he began making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Brown's album was released a decade ago and things started to go haywire for him. CNN reports that Brown, then 28 years old, was arrested in Torrance for "possessing methamphetamine and bringing it into police headquarters, possessing drugs paraphernalia and battery, resisting arrest or delaying arrest" in January 2016. He was also accused of striking a woman in public he was seeing at the time.
Brown denied the charges and wrote on Instagram that he was incarcerated for a month. Brown also lamented that every day in jail was two days. "Nobody cared for me. "How do you feel about me?"
In January 2018, Brown was again arrested in Barstow (California) for allegedly having a "verbal argument at an apartment...with...his girlfriend and her mom".
Barstow police learned that Brown was wanted by Torrance police. He had failed to appear in court. Brown was again behind bars.
His defiance was evident. He made several comments about his predicament. One of them was a bit ominous: "Brace yourself for this one."

When a security alarm went off, police arrived. Brown was reportedly seen perched on the roof of the building when police arrived. His friend disproved his claim that he was changing locks at the restaurant. Brown was again taken to prison.
Page Six stated that Brown was held on $13,000 bail. This includes bail from prior arrests for drug possession, resisting an officer of the public, and domestic battery.
He Began To Get Help In Late 2018

According to HotNewHipHop, Brown was admitted to rehab but it "clearly didn't go as planned." Brown was reportedly only there for a week, before he quit and got into another mess that attracted media attention.
This video shows Brown walking around naked in the streets, possibly carrying a bottle of wine. A man then follows Brown with a camera and threatens to kill him if he gets too close to his home.
Solomon Barron, Brown's friend, and manager, was so worried about Brown's emotional downturn in December 2018, that he appeared as a guest on Dr. Phil was titled "From Disney Star, Homeless and In Danger: Will Orlando Brown accept Life-Saving Therapy?" Barron explained Brown's situation in the hope that the retired psychologist could help him.
Barron told Dr. Phil that if he doesn't recognize his problems, he is not going to have a chance at life, or even a comeback. It doesn't look well for him.
Brown sat down on the set with Dr. Phil after Barron had left the stage. Brown was clearly confused. Brown claimed he was Michael Jackson’s son and claimed to have four children. However, he appeared confused about the ages and names of his children and stated that he had been sober for four year. These statements were false.
After much resistance and pushback, Brown finally accepted treatment at a Malibu clinic. Dr. Phil provided an update at the end of the program and stated that Brown had made "great strides" towards recovery.
His life seemed to be heading in the right direction by 2020
Brown began to gain traction a few years later in his efforts to live a more peaceful life. He started releasing new music, including "F**ck My Fame", "Empire", "Hi, I’m Famous", "Coming to America" and "Empire" (2018).

He Continues to Make Bizarre Accusations against Other Celebrities

News reported in January 2020 that Brown claimed to have had a sexual encounter Nick Cannon. Cannon was allegedly dressed as a woman. Cannon responded to Brown's claims on Instagram by calling it "a cry for help" and denying the allegations.

What's next? It's anyone's guess. He could stay on the straight and true path, or he may continue to wander between recovery and havoc.
