The Hills alum revealed that "Timmy brought this to my attention as a husband would, and said that it wasn't just something strangers were spewing."

Whitney Portsays her spouse Tim Rosenman expressed a real concern to her about her weight.

The Hills alum responded to fan concerns about her being "too thin", in an Instagram Story, on Monday. She later added that her husband also shared the same concern.

"Timmy, a good wife, brought it to my notice and told me it wasn't just something that strangers were saying." Port said that her husband was worried about her. She explained that although her Instagram followers initially made "a lot" of comments about her weight, Port "attributed it to people not understanding what [her] eating habits look like."

"I had to reflect on it and figure out what was happening, because I don't consciously think about it. I eat in order to survive, not the opposite. "But after stepping onto the scale, I realized it," she said.

Port continued to explain that she is "always hungry" but struggles to decide what to eat, which in turn has affected her eating habits and health.

Port's excuse is that she's too lazy to prioritize her own food or that she's too picky about taste and quality. She also admitted that this was not something that Port wanted to do as an example to her fans or to family.

She concluded, "Both are unacceptable and I didn't want to be an unhealthy example. So I promised Timmy that I would make my health a priority and I will promise you the same."

The actress hasn't been so open about her private life before. She previously revealed that her and her husband struggled with secondary fertility after multiple miscarriages. Since then, the couple has explored surrogacy in hopes of growing their family.

Port revealed to Us Magazine that she is still learning and "nothing is 100 percent" yet. Port said, "I suffered from secondary fertility, and it's been a long process, both mentally and physically, to have a second child."

She said, "I was not able to present myself and be happy. I wasn't a decent me." "So, I hope, if the new route is possible, it would be a blessing for all times. But we'll have to wait and see.
