One critic wrote that her "distracting fatsuit" was a problem.

Although Whoopi Goldberg is open to criticisms of her films, she won't entertain comments about her body.

After being criticised for her "distracting fat suits" in her Emmett Till biopic "Till", the 66-year old Oscar-winning actress reacted to the Daily Beast critic's review.

"There was a young woman who wrote for one of these magazines and she was distracted from my fat suit, in the review," Goldberg said Monday's episode. The TV personality played Alma Carthan, the title subject's grandmother.

She said, "I don’t care what you think about the movie. But you should know that it wasn’t a fat suit. That was me ....." You wouldn't know it was a fat suit if you didn't watch the series.

This comment was removed from the Daily Beast review. An editor's note clarified that the review had been "updated to reflect that Whoopi goldberg said she wasn't wearing a fat suit."

Goldberg acknowledged that it was okay to not like a movie, but critics should keep "people's eyes out" of film reviews. "Just comment on the acting and ask someone if you have any questions. She said, "I'm sure that you weren't trying to be demeaning."

Sunny Hostin, her co-host, expressed disbelief at the line and cited Goldberg's public "health problems" that she had "overcome" in the past few years.

Whoopi concluded, "We hope she didn't know." You shouldn't make general statements if you aren't sure if they're there. It makes it seem like you don't know what you're doing.

Whoopi was not only an actor, but also produced Chinonye Chukwu’s dramatic retelling the 1955 lynching death of Emmett Till, 14 years old, and his mother's struggle for justice on the southern American scene.

Till will be released in select theaters on October 14th and nationwide on October 28th.
