Why Arden Cho Has 'No Regrets' Turning Down Teen Wolf Movie

Why Arden Cho Has 'No Regrets' Turning Down Teen Wolf Movie

"Don't be afraid to turn down an opportunity or walk away."

Arden Cho has spoken out following the release of "Teen Wolf: The Movie".

The actress, who played Kira Yukimura in "Teen Wolf", shared her regrets about not accepting the Paramount+ offer to film the movie.

Cho, 37, responded to a Twitter fan who suggested that the release of "Teen Wolf: The Movie” may be a difficult time for Cho.

The user tweeted, "Sending love and respect to @arden_cho" It's likely that she is going through a difficult time, but she deserves better. I wish she all the best in 2023.

Cho shared the post of a fan and wrote: "Don't worry baby, thanks for your support. We look forward to a better 2023! If you aren't happy with the outcome, don't be afraid to turn down or walk away from an opportunity.

She said, "You deserve better. Don't let anyone tell the contrary!" Love you all, no regrets!"

Cho, who was a recurring cast member of Season 3 and a regular on Seasons 4 and 5, confirmed that she declined to reprise her role because she was offered half the salary she received from the three other female leads (which is apparently Holland Roden Shelley Henning, Crystal Reed, and Shelley Henning).

Cho, who is Korean-American and the only actor of color in the group, stated that she felt they were offered less.

She explained that she wasn't saying "no" because she was angry or for me, but rather because she wanted to reject the film. "I said 'no' because it was my hope that there would be more equality in future."

Star of "Partner Track", the actor also pointed out that Asian Americans are still facing inequity in Hollywood's pay system.

Cho stated, "I can probably think of more than 10 Asian American actors who were paid significantly lower than their counterparts." Sometimes, you just need it. There are bills to pay.

MTV aired "Teen Wolf," from 2011 to 2017. Paramount+ is streaming the movie revival of the supernatural series. It features many original stars, including Tyler Posey who plays Scott McCall.

Dylan O'Brien, who played the role of Stiles Stilinski in "Teen Wolf: The Movie," previously spoke out about his decision to not reprise his role. You can find out the reason here.
