It's not always easy to live the royal lifestyle. Kate Middleton spoke out about the pressure she felt and Prince William before their children were born, especially when it came time to name them.

Even in the Hospital, she 'Was Very Related'

The Princess of Wales visited the Royal Surrey County Hospital's Maternity Ward and met with mothers and nurses. Amy Stubbs was the hospital's deputy chief of midwifery. She shared that Middleton was easy to get along with for new moms.

Stubbs stated that "She was very relatable." "She spoke a lot about what it was like for her to become a mother," Stubbs said.

How William and Middleton Decided on the Names of Their Children: "It was quite a big pressure!"

Stubbs said, "She just really spoke about her children, including how she chose their names." Many new dads are contemplating how to name their baby, so she spoke with them about the choices Kate and William made.

There was obviously a lot of interest about what the Prince of Wales and Princess of Wales would name their children. But Middleton said that they chose their favorite names. Stubbs laughed and said, "She said...the whole world was waiting for them...and that felt like quite the pressure!"

Middleton's Passion for Maternal Mental Well-Being

Middleton met new parents at the hospital and also learned about the latest developments in maternity care. Stubbs described her as "just delightful." She spent much of her time talking with staff, meeting new parents and fatheras across the service. It was a great experience for all of us and a huge validation for our service that she took the time to come visit us.

Stubbs said that she was especially interested in maternal mental well-being and how we support it during pregnancy and early postnatal periods. "She spent a lot time talking with staff and their families about this aspect of care and how it felt for them.

Middleton is a popular princess because of her easy-going style of connecting with people and passion for raising awareness about early childhood development.
