One officer arrested the man after he allegedly broke into two houses, then jumped into a pool and jumped on a trampoline as he tried to flee.

Florida is known for making some of the strangest arrests in the country. But even authorities were shocked to see a naked and greased-up man being arrested in DeBary on Friday, April 7.

The scene was captured by a bodycam from an officer who was responding to a call about a burglary. The first deputy saw Blake Tokman, later identified as Blake Tokman, running naked into the backyard at the second house he is accused of breaking into. Tokman ran away from the officer and jumped into a pool before jumping on a trampoline nearby.

Volusia Sheriff's Office stated that Tokman "resisted" the deputy's attempts at securing him in handcuffs. The video seems to show Tokman asking the deputy's name repeatedly, rather than putting his hands behind him.

One deputy said that Tokman was slippery, while another stated that the man was covered with "paste." Another person was heard to say, "Well, it's certain he doesn’t have anything on his," before adding that it "smells a lot like toothpaste." Authorities later confirmed that Tokman was covered with wheel bearing grease, peppermint oils, and blood.

Tokman seemed to shout, "I'm the lifeguard!" as the homeowner of the house tried to identify the intruder. Although the homeowner didn't know who the suspect was, some deputies saw him and began to call him Blake. A quick search of Volusia County Jail Records reveals 11 arrests for a Blake Tokman with the same birth date as the suspect. He was released the most recent on March 14.

One deputy said, "I think that's he, I don't believe, he's all these weird s---on him," as others expressed mild disgust at Tokman's rubbing off on them.

According to the Sheriff's Office Tokman "smashed out windows in one house to gain entry, then fled and broke into another." They also stated that "both houses were occupied at time of break-ins."

"Tokman appeared under the influence of unknown drugs," continued the statement. It took "four deputies" to place him in custody and "three more medical professionals" to transport him to a stretcher to allow him to receive treatment for injuries he had caused.

He is also accused of striking or kicking three deputies. One of them was said to have suffered a broken arm.

Tokman was charged in two counts of occupied theft, three counts of battery on an officer of the law enforcement, and two counts each of criminal mischief and resisting arrest by violence. Tokman was taken to the Volusia County Branch Jail for further medical treatment and evaluation. The suspect was not listed on any new booking sheets as of Friday afternoon.
