According to some reports, the woman showed the body to her friend via video chat... and received tips from police.
Shaye Groves (a 27-year old British woman with portraits of serial killers) was found guilty of murdering her boyfriend. She stabbed him in the neck and chest.
Friday's conviction of Frankie Fitzgerald, 22, in her home in July 2022 was the result. Prosecutors claimed that Fitzgerald was talking to a 13-year old girl via Facebook and she became jealous.
She claimed self defense and pleaded not guilty to the murder charge. However, the evidence against her convinced jurors that this was not the case.
The five-week trial (via Daily Mail) prosecutors claimed Groves called Vicky Baitup, a friend, after the murder to show her bloody body, and told her that she had done it. Baitup claimed that Groves confessed to her during the call that she had woken him with a knife in his throat after seeing the Facebook messages. "I just lost them. It just went missing. Groves said that she picked up her dagger and stabbed him in his neck." She was reportedly telling her friend while she cleaned up blood from the room.
Groves sent Baitup another message claiming Fitzgerald "walked out" on them, apparently to create an alibi. Baitup, who claimed that Groves had said she intended to bury Fitzgerald at the garden, is the one who called the police.

Her story was changed when she revealed to authorities that "He tried attacking me, it'sn't the first time. I have video footage of him beating me and raping me." Prosecutors claimed that the bedroom footage was not edited to make it appear like rape but was in fact consensual and contained "safe words."
According to BBC, "The Crown claim that the defendant was familiar with crime scenes and how to create false narratives and set up false alibis" during the trial.
They added that she had deliberately created a false narrative about Frankie Fitzgerald's abuse, which she sent Vicky Baitup as a false alibi. She was cleaning up the crime scene after watching these documentaries.
Groves claimed that she kept portraits of serial killers such as Ted Bundy and Richard Ramirez in her home, because she thought they were "pretty cool". After discovering the messages, Groves claimed that she attacked the victim believing he would "strangle" her to death.
Frankie Fitzgerald's loved ones released a statement following the verdict.
"As a parent, you don't expect to live beyond your children's lifetime. You will do everything you can to protect them." They said Frankie was their baby, the youngest of five kids and he cannot be replaced." "He was a wonderful, kind person. He leaves behind two children who will never know their dad." Today's jury verdict was a great honor. We are grateful. Frankie, we love you and will always miss you. We will forever be grateful for your shining light.
Groves will be sentenced on Wednesday, February 22.
