Before Johnny Depp's marriage to Amber Heard ended in scandal and disaster, the global superstar was romantically connected to a number of famous women, including Jennifer Grey, Sherilyn Fenn, Vanessa Paradis, and Kate Moss.

In 1990, he proposed to actress Winona Ryder, with whom he had appeared in Tim Burton's movie "Edward Scissorhands." He was so devoted to the performer that he even got her name etched on his right arm in a tattoo which read "Winona Forever." (After the relationship ended, he altered the tattoo.)
