From its onset, Playboy has pushed boundaries. Founded in 1953, Hugh Hefner’s magazine not only changed the publishing landscape, but it played a huge role in the sexual revolution of the 1960s. For many models, posing in Playboy launched their entire careers, and some — like ‘90s icon Pamela Anderson — went on to make millions.

From the outside, living in the famous Playboy Mansion seemed like a fantasy fairytale. But life with Hef was anything but.
