My 600-Lb Life is a show that stands out from the miasma that is reality show television. Because it features people who are on the extreme end of morbid obesity, you can't help but notice it when you flip through cable TV. And while there are certain ways in which the show is helpful to the people who appear on it, particularly in the way in which they connect them to resources which can save their lives, there are some ways in which the My 600-Lb Life has been accused of exploiting the people it purports to help, all in the service of ratings. We'll present the evidence and you be the judge. The shady side of My 600-Lb Life is hard to ignore.
