"Today" host Hoda Kotb made waves in November 2019 when she took to the airwaves and announced her engagement to Joel Schiffman. Her excitement was palpable, but it seemed to turn to disappointment when the wedding was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

By the end of 2020, Kotb had announced that she and Schiffman were postponing their plans. But on January 31, she surprised everyone by announcing that she had Schiffman had called off the wedding entirely.
