A Man who died from COVID was dissected and displayed at a $500 ticketed event, with no consent from his family

The inside of a morgue with a body in a body bag

David Saunders lived an extended and successful life. He was 98 years old. Unfortunately, even though he lived almost to 100 years, he was tragically struck by Covid like many others in the past few years. This is only the beginning. The Coviddeath was shocking enough for the family. But what followed was something out of horror movies and left the family stunned.

Warning: This gets very dark.

They did WHAT with the body

Imagine the pain of losing someone you care about in a terrible pandemic. Then, to discover that the body was being dissected for public use at a cost of $500 per head, This is what happened to the Saunders Family. As if losing their patriarch was not troubling enough.

A man named Jeremy Ciliberto started a group called DeathScience.Org. It has been touring as part a Oddities and Curiosities event. This event was meant to educate people about medical science such as autopsies. It's an autopsy live-streaming pay-per view event. This is where Saunders ended up, who wanted to donate his mortal remains for science.

On October 7, the first autopsy took place at the Portland Marriott. Many authorities were left scratching their heads. Kimberly DiLeo was the chief medical investigator for Multnomah county, Oregon. She stated that the first autopsy event was "not respectful and certainly not ethics." Oregon quickly acted, and the second event, which was to be David Saunders' public dissection, was canceled.

One photojournalist who attended the first event and captured the surreal scene said the following: "Paying customers filed in to a lower level ballroom at Marriott Downtown Waterfront hotel. A white sheet covered a figure that was sitting at a table in central London's ballroom. VIP customers who had paid $500 for tickets sat in front row, inches from the table. The man then cut into the head, legs, and torso, while the onlookers stared." Some claim it's educational. Others, however, have noted how disturbing and disrespectful the whole experience was.

The Event: Fallout

Jeremy Ciliberto, the founder of the event, claims it is educational. This may be true for some attendees. But ethics is the real problem. He claims to have paid over ten thousand dollars for each body. This is according to Med Ed Labs in Las Vegas, which is a non-profit organization that purchases bodies donated for science. Many people seem to be able to grasp the fact that these bodies are donated free of charge, but Med Ed then sells them for as high as ten grand.

Ciliberto insists that he follows the rules, even though the whole thing sounds very strange to some. He also said that consent is not his responsibility. He places that responsibility on Med Ed Labs. It seems like there is a lot of deflecting happening here.

What's the Future? !

The Marriott Hotel investigated the Oregon event and was very disturbed by what it discovered. The Marriott Hotel was told that the event was intended for medical equipment training, which it approved. It will suffice to say that once it discovered it was for public dissection of human bodies, it cancelled the Seattle event. This spared David Saunders's family more trauma.

Ciliberto is not discouraged. A recent statement by Ciliberto stated that he was searching for new venues to host these events in 2022. This stuff is unbelievable. This story is a fascinating look at 2021 life.
