Your home's exterior could use some TLC. Handy_Amandy, a TikTok user, has a great idea to help you update the exterior of your brick home.

TikToker Amanda Christensen explains how she transformed the exterior finish of her brick ranch-style home by spending just $12.

Christensen starts the 53-second video telling viewers that she bought a bucket limewash for $12. She took advantage of the amazing deal and purchased the bucket to limewash her home.

Before Christensen shows Christensen the exterior of the brown-toned brick one-story house, the camera scans it. Christensen then explains that she used a 1:1 ratio limewash to water.

The TikToker wrote, "Spray brick down to dampen then get painting." "I didn't have to worry about tapering off the limewash as it washed/wipes off right away.

Christensen uses a ladder, brush, and bucket to limewash each brown brick in her home. The clip was edited quickly. Handy_Amandy paints each brick with limewash, and then she says, "We wanted a strong wash so we didn't spray or wipe any bricks."

Christensen stated that after the exterior brick of her house had been painted white, she and her husband spray painted existing outdoor light fixtures a dark bronze. Christensen stated that the project cost less than $10 and was very satisfying.

The DIY'er informs her viewers at the end that there are still some areas they need to fix. She shows the finished product and says she is "so inlove with it."

Christensen revealed that their next project is to "Gel stain our garage doors to look like wood" and that it will cost less than $15.

Limewash can be used to update the appearance of brick homes. Although $12 is a great price, you can usually coat an entire house for less than $300.

It is safe for the environment and natural. Limewash can protect your home from weathering. It will eventually erode. You'll need to apply again every five to seven year.
