As Police warn against 'Smack a Teacher Month', a Disabled Teacher is Hospitalized by an 18-Year Old Female Student

As Police warn against 'Smack a Teacher Month', a Disabled Teacher is Hospitalized by an 18-Year Old Female Student

"If you look at the video, it sounds as if they knew what was coming."

After being attacked by an 18 year-old student, a 64-year old disabled teacher was taken to hospital. Police are now investigating whether it was part in a TikTok challenge.

Video of an unidentified English teacher being brutalized by a female pupil. It was all captured by students hiding in the doorway.

The attack occurred Wednesday at Covington High School in Louisiana just after the dismissal bell rang.

The video shows Larrianna Jackson, a teenage suspect, standing above the teacher's desk before unleashing a series of punches and kicks that knocked her from her chair.

Frank Jabbia, Superintendent of St. Tammany Parish Public Schools, stated that the child was talking with the student about a grade and the child was explaining her side. Then, all of a sudden, she was attacked.

Jackson was charged with Battery on School Teacher, which is a felony. Jackson was taken to St Tammany Parish Jail in anticipation of prosecution.

Police suspect the attack was premeditated because of the chatter on the camera. They are considering additional arrests.

"Come on, come on, come on!" One can hear excitedly whispering.

Another says, "Bitch! She better f---ing not." "I'm gonna start running."

One Covington PD officer said to 4WWL that they don't know the reason or motive behind the attack. "The suspect was not cooperative during the investigation."

It sounds like they knew what was coming. We're investigating it, and we may make more arrests.

Covington PD stated in a Facebook post that it was investigating whether the attack was part the TikTok "Smack a Teacher" challenge.

It stated that Jackson's violent attack may have been caused by Tik-Tok, a popular social media app. It is clear that the app's users considered it a challenge to attack teachers and damage school property.

"The Covington Police Department reminds everyone that those who take part in such a challenge are booked accordingly."

Teachers across the country are warning their staff about "Devious Licks", a list of monthly "challenges," which encourage students to commit different offenses against schools.

These include minor offenses like showing up late or assaulting someone.

Many were left in disarray by September's challenge that asked students to vandalize schools bathrooms.

TikTok tweeted that it was not a trend and would remove any attempts to make it one.

It stated that the rumored "slap a teacher" dare was an insult to educators all over. It isn't a TikTok trend, but if it does appear, it will be removed.

Jabbia says that the victim of the attack was a St Tammany employee "for a very lengthy time". He is currently in recovery.

He said that she was very hurt and bruised, and in a lot pain. "I just feel for her."
