Beth was determined to be real with her Real World return. However, the rest of her cast disappointed her.
"I want to know why people don't like me."
Beth Stolarczyk set this goal to return to the home that made her famous in 1993 when she appeared on "The Real World: Homecoming" for Paramount+'s revival series.
It remains to be determined if she gets the answers she sought, but Stolarczyk, 52, said that she was determined to keep it real and reunite with her former roommates. She, Tami Roman (now Tami Edwards), Jon Brennan, Jon Brennan. Glen Naessens, Glen Naessens, Glen Naessens, Glen Naessens, Glen Naessens, and Beth Anthony all filmed together in the same Venice Beach home MTV rented back in the days. It seems that not all of them wanted to do the same.
"Reuniting with my roommates, who I haven’t seen in nearly 30 years, is something I’ve long desired. I feel like we have a lot of unfinished business and I want that to happen." Beth shared her thoughts with TooFab before the premiere. "Now that I am older, I feel like going back to talk about the things we went through, and being able approach them in an entirely different way. It would be an incredible thing and an amazing opportunity. We have lived our lives, we have grown, and I hope I can love everyone at the end.
Stolarczyk was a controversial presence throughout her time on "The Real World" as well as the many seasons of the Challenge that followed, including the first season on Paramount+'s "All Stars". She sees it as being her own person, and that's okay.
"I'm going to be me. I will be my authentic self, and that is what I am going to do. She explained that she is not going to try to convince anyone to like her. I believe that people would enjoy spending time with me if they took the time to get know me. My kids and I have learned that not everyone will like me in the real world.
Yes, much has happened since Beth's first appearance on MTV. She's been married twice in the 28 years that have passed since her first season aired. She is the mother to a 12-year-old girl and a 10-year old son.
They were so excited they said, "Mom, I need to go do this. You must do it. She said that they were excited about me returning and doing this, and that she had seen "a little" of the '93 show with her daughter.
Stolarczyk stated that she was nervous about Tami's return and told TooFab that she had made her "judgements about Roman" before she went into production. She claimed that she tried to contact Roman via social media but was not able to get through in her DMs. Roman, who has 3.2 million Instagram followers likely due to her work on "Basketball Wives", believably claimed that she never received the message.
Beth was not the only one who had doubts about Tami.
She continued, "Then, ofcourse, there's Glen who for some reason didn't love me." "I am a trigger for many people and I really want to know what it is about me that people don’t like." I am not perfect, but I want to learn and grow. I want to know. I am not perfect.
She was also concerned about being reunited to David, who was the first cast member to be kicked off the house and booted from it. Quick Real World history lesson. David was expelled from their home in the seventh episode of season 7. Although David thought it was a joke Tami was furious when he took Tami out of her bed, while she was only wearing her underwear and was wrapped in a blanket. The blanket was torn off, and Tami yelled at him to stop. The male housemates laughed and Beth and Irene, the female roommates, started to use the term "rape" before he was asked to leave.
David, that relationship was explosive to say the very least. She said that it was a blessing to be able talk to him again and see his current location. "I hope we can come out the other side unicorns, rainbows," she added.
Tami and David tried to fight the '93 Fight for Real World Homecoming, but it didn't go well
Anyone who has seen the "Homecoming" premiere will know that it wasn't all rainbows and unicorns. Production sat the cast down and showed them the hallway footage again, before asking them to discuss it the day after they moved in.
"Honestly, it wasn't something I expected to see. Beth described how she thought the footage was coming up quickly and that it was going to be the first thing we saw. "I felt that some people were holding back, and that made me feel uncomfortable. I was ready for a real conversation but some people wanted to add another band-aid to it.
"I feel like we are here to discuss this. She continued, "We need to talk about that." "All that I know is that I felt like I was trying for a conversation and to discuss things. Tami, who I felt was speaking truthfully about Tami's topic, was able speak her truth but there was too much worry about how others would look and how they would come across in this situation. That to me was disappointing."
Beth said that she understood David's situation, but not to spoil the episode ahead. She also stated that she didn't want any ill will towards him or his roommate after the reunion.
"Look, back then we were young and didn't know much. Being filmed was a way for us to discover who we were, and how we could help others. She continued, "Even though I am older now, I still learn how to improve and be a better person at end of the day." "At the end, I love my roommates. I wish them all success. David and the other people I shared my life with are not in my thoughts. We shared something special together, and even though we didn't resolve everything, I don't think anyone will walk away. If that doesn't happen I'm open to coming back and revisiting.
Although she claimed she asked Dominic Griffin, a cast member, to join her for "Homecoming", both he (and Aaron Behle) declined MTV’s invitation. Although Beth said that she believed he was "happy not to be involved" at the moment, Beth did not rule out Dominic coming back someday... "if certain conditions were met."
"I hope he will reconsider coming back one day. She suggested that he might not feel comfortable with all of us getting together, but maybe he would like to get together with just a few of us." Before she mentioned the possibility of an "All Stars Real World" season.
She said, "It would be cool to take cast members of different seasons and put them together in an apartment, maybe on vacation." "What many people don't realize is that we are all friends. Many of us have shared friendships from different seasons, and our lives are intertwined. There's so much going on behind closed doors that many people don't realize.
She said that even though people might not be able to understand why so-andso doesn't like so-andso on the Challenges it is because of real life events you may not see. It would be very, really fascinating to do something like this.
She'd love to spend time with Eric Nies in her "All Stars" dream cast and discuss "unfinished business" with fellow "The Gauntlet II” costar Montana McGlynn. She also mentioned Rachel Campos Duffy's and Sean Duffy's names, claiming that Rachel and she were "pretty close friends back then."
