"Everyone that I have told has made a dog movie. They are like, 'I'm not going to watch it unless I tell you if the dog is alive'."

Channing Tatum destroyed the ending to his movie "Dog" in order to make sure that the movie didn't end with the death a furry pet.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live, the star of "Magic Mike" stopped by to promote his upcoming film "Dog". On Tuesday, "Magic Mike' star visited to promote "Dog", his film about an army ranger who embarks on an adventure with a Belgian Malinois soldier dog.

Kimmel confronted the actor over the potential tragic ending. "You never know what a dog movie is going to end up doing, and most of the times it ends badly."

Tatum referred to the classic movie "Marley & Me", about a mischievous yellow Labrador that eventually dies as it gets older. He revealed that his cinematic experience made his friends and colleagues hesitant to see his latest film.

He replied, "I think Marley & Me’ scarred everyone." "Everyone who I have told that I made a dog movie is like, 'I'm not going to watch it unless you tell us if the dog still lives.' I was like, "But don't want to know the ending of this movie?"

Tatum spoilt the ending to the film in an attempt to get people to see it in theaters.

Tatum continued, "It's an excellent ending, so everybody knows," Kimmel responded, "You might have been the first guest to ever come out and tell the ending of his movie."

The actor from "21 Jump Street" admitted to receiving feedback from potential directors about the film's subject matter.

Tatum ignored the feedback and may have regretted it after being bitten on set by an animal actor.

"I was actually bit for real. The 41-year old actor laughed and said that he hadn't been bit before by a coworker. He said that he was certain Amanda Seyfried, his Dear John star, had taken a bite of him in the past.

"Dog" will be in theaters February 18.
