Clint Arlis, a former Bachelorette contestant, has died at the age of 34. Nick Viall pays tribute

Viall tweets about the man Viall competed against to win Kaitlyn's affections on Season 11.

Bachelor Nation is mourning the death of one of its members too soon. Clint Arlis' sister Taylor posted on Facebook that her brother, Taylor, had died January 11. He was 34.

Clint was a contestant on "The Bachelorette," the 11th season, which featured Kaitlyn Bristowe, current Bachelorette host, in the lead role.

Talylor Lulek wrote on Tuesday, "It is with great sorrow, to inform you that my family lost my best friend Clint on January 11th." Please respect the privacy of our family as we attempt to deal with this terrible loss. We will provide more information about the service shortly.

Scott Bayer, a high school wrestling coach who works alongside Clint's father at Clint’s alma mater, and has known Clint for many years, paid tribute to Clint with a series of tweets.

Bayer said Clint was "extremely devoted to his children and deeply committed to sport wrestling at an level few of us have ever reached in our careers." He also spoke of Clint's willingness to share the knowledge he had with the next generation.

Bayer wrote that Bayer was a gifted artist with a sharp sense of humor, a sardonic sense and a palpable authenticity. His legacy as a tireless worker, a fierce competitor, a caring friend, and a loving brother and son will be remembered far beyond his time here.

The Illinois-based architect engineer scored the first one-on-1 date of the season. He also made it to week three of the competition. But he is most well-known for his slogan "Villains have got vill" as well as his early-game "bromance” with JJ Lane.

Nick Viall also participated in that season's finale and paid tribute to Clint Arlis on Thursday with the following tweet: "Just heard about Clint Arlis' passing. Clint was a great person to have a conversation with after we had finished Kaitlyn's season. Clint was a very talented, kind, and unique person who was tragically lost to the world too soon. Clint, RIP."

Nick finished second in that season's competition, but ultimately lost to Shawn Booth. Shawn Booth and Kaitlyn were together until 2018. She has been engaged to Jason Tartick, a fellow Bachelor Nation alum and co-hosts "Bachelorette" with Tayshia Adams. Viall would become "The Bachelor" in Season 21.
