DWTS 5th Judge- Who Came Home First? Also, Cheryl's positive covid test and Tyra Banks wearing what? You can!

DWTS 5th Judge- Who Came Home First? Also, Cheryl's positive covid test and Tyra Banks wearing what? You can!

What to do with a positive Covid? Rachael Kirkconnell crashes Matt James’ rehearsal, Amanda Kloots sings to Nick Cordero's song, Kenya Moore dances for single mothers and women over 50.

"Dancing with the Stars," for the first time in its history, sent one couple out to the ballroom and the competition. This couple is not surprising after a terrible debut.

There have been some crazy things on this show. America has a full 50 percent say in who ends up in the Bottom 2. Is it possible that America's popularity and Martin Kove's charm could prevent him from the Bottom 2?

The vote places the Top 2 contestants before the Judges. However, it is the Judges that decide who goes home. This was done to counter America's inconsistent voting choices three years ago when Bobby Bones won.

America kept Sean Spicer in for too long, as if he was taking up the challenge. Martin's fate was partly also his own. He had to do more to improve judges' scores and pair with the audience vote. This was in addition to the 13 points (out 40) that he received in Week 1.

This week's show had a new challenge when Cheryl Burke, Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby and her partner tested positive for COVID-19. Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby is her partner. They had been working together in close quarters, but they were not allowed to enter the ballroom. What was the solution?

We must also mention that Tyra Banks' attires tonight were distracting. She wore huge shoulder pads, then looked like a dinosaur from Jurassic Park, about to spew poison. However, she didn't explain her reasoning by saying that Len would be the final vote if the judges were divided on who to send home. How could three people be split?

It doesn't matter how they vote, there will always be a winner. Len, the Head Judge, has an extra weight to his vote. If there is a tie at 2-2, Len's vote becomes 2-plus-2 and his vote stays.

Fair warning: I will probably be harsher than my colleagues Carrie Ann Inaba and Len Goodman, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli because I am safe at home. However, I may be more pleasant than others. Perhaps.

Matt James & Lindsay Arnold

(Samba). Rachael Kirconnell crashed Matt’s audition time. She even taught him a few body rolls in an attempt to motivate him. He seemed to be more present in his movements this time, which clearly indicates that she motivated him. His adorable shirt-doffing with Bruno was a highlight of his personality. He is still very stiff in his arms and hands, so he has lost some of his place. As a result of his stiffness, his hips didn't improve much last season. His body roll forward should not look like a hunch -- it seems like he is still unsure how to partner someone shorter than himself. As expected, Carrie Ann will give Lindsay a point for getting up off the ground. (Not allowed in this format -- another potential height issue).

My Score : 5

Olivia Jade & Valentin Chmerkovskiy

( Viennese Waltz). Olivia brought it with mature elegance and grace to her moves across the floor. Her feet moved effortlessly with little hiccups. She had a beautiful rise and fall. This piece was a one-on-one affair between her and Val. Olivia is a beautiful woman with great extensions and lines. This one was very accurate. She seems to have intuited the style quite quickly. This was a confident piece.

My Score 7

Kenya Moore & Brandon Armstrong

(Cha Cha Cha). Kenya's goal this week is to show moms and women over 50 that they still have it. Although she was certainly sexy, she was also very confused about where and when to go. She was a bit out of sync with what she was supposed, and she would rush to catch up, thereby losing the music. Even missing her final mark, she was even worse. Although she pulled it together towards the end, her missing the first cha cha portion really threw her off. She never recovered. Kenya exclaimed, "I kick, stretch, and chacha -- I'm fifty!" echoing an iconic Molly Shannon "SNL” character.

My Score : 5

Mike "The Miz" Mizanin and Witney Carson

( Tango). Although all the necessary pieces were there to make this a tango, it lacked the sharp finesse that would have made it stand out. Although he was certainly out of control in his personality, it mostly worked. We were more interested in sharp hits and flicks than the lumbering, panther-like strut he brought. He was well-equipped with everything he needed, from his carriage to the top of his waist.

My Score 6

Brian Austin Green & Sharna Burgess

(Rumba). The chemistry between Brian and Sharna was evident on the TV screen. We saw the biggest problem in his behavior. He was so focused on executing and being there, that he began to prepare for the next move. He was constantly forgetting to use his arms (i.e. He was doing nothing with his arms. He has the beginning of great movement in his hips, and if he can focus more on the style and tighten the periphery, then the core and that chemistry might take them far.

My Score : 5

Christine Chiu & Pasha Pashkov

(Salsa). This gave us a better idea of why Christine was so happy to be on the show. She was a huge fan and used to win tickets in the audience lotteries. She is passionate about the show. She had to stumble half way through, which really slowed down her confidence in the back half. It was evident in her expression and in her inability to get the hop started in the side-by with Pasha. She was sensual, on fire and had the perfect Latin flair. Her hips were on fire and her footwork was flawless. She is well on her way this season to be a top competitor.

SNL Reveals Who's in, Who's out and Who got promoted ahead of the new season

Jimmie Allen & Emma Slater

(Rumba We loved the smooth movement that ran through Jimmie's spine, out into his arms and fingers to create beautiful lines. And the fact that he continued every movement right through the end. Although his legs could use some fluidity and his footwork could be better, this was an excellent rumba that was easily recognized and full of great, meaningful dance content. This one was a great collaboration between him and Emma. This was a remarkable Week 2 performance, even by his own standards.

My Score 7

Amanda Kloots & Alan Bersten

(Foxtrot). Amanda performed the song Nick Cordero sang to book "Bullets Over Broadway" which was where they first met. The song became their first love song, and you can see his affection for her throughout the piece. First, the ending was perfect. Amanda performed this piece with a camera in her hand. It was wonderful to see her energy and it was fun to watch. Then she added quality foxtrot to it with a strong frame, energetic arms, and consistent footwork. It was actually quite charming to see her hands pop out with that Broadway flair that made it feel like we were in a darkened theater.

My Score 8

JoJo Siwa & Jenna Johnson

(Cha Cha Cha). JoJo Siwa's fans saw a maturer side to her this week, as she took on the cha-cha-cha challenge with Jenna. They were sometimes interchangeable due to the similarity in their quality and approach to their moves. It was breathtaking to see the tandem dance. JoJo is a professional dancer and will bring that experience to these styles. Derek noted that JoJo's enthusiasm can sometimes be a bit too strong at times. Jenna was there for most of the time. It will be interesting for her to tone down and go with the more mellower styles. She'll be around for a while.

Judges Scores 8, 7, 8

My Score 8

Iman Shumpert & Daniella Karagach

( Rumba) Teyana Taylor, Iman's wife, spoke briefly about her time on the show. He said that he wanted to be proud of her efforts this week. He also tried to get rid of the 4 pesky Len. He was actually very pleased with the results. He was able to put his entire body into each movement and take control of his space and size in a way that we loved. He needs to improve his precision and fullness. He used his entire body but a body roll must really roll. He was present but not overly so. His upper body seemed more invested than his lower.

Judges Scores 7, 6, and 6

My Score: 5.

Martin Kove & Britt Stewart

(Cha Cha Cha). Although it was terrible, we will give Martin credit for trying a few of the cha cha moves. He was unable to follow a rhythm, timing, or even consistency. Britt danced all over the stage, and he was just... there. He'll be remembered as one of the worst performers to ever grace this stage. He can still be proud that he improved... slightly.

Judges Scores 4, 3, 4

My Score : 2

Melora Hardin & Artem Chigvintsev

(Rumba Both of her daughters have left the house so we are chuckling that Melora performed "All by Myself" in honor. It's both hilarious and beautiful for such passionate singing. Although she needs to improve her flexibility and get her hips moving, this dance was amazing. She was expressive in her movements and her lines. She understood the essence of this piece and delivered. We were so impressed by her presence last week, and she's back. She'll be a force on the show as she gains more confidence in her styles and flexibility.

Sunny Hostin explains the 'Real Life Rimifications' of Covid Scare. Producer Apologizes

Cody Rigsby and Cheryl Burke

(Salsa). Cheryl was positive for Covid yesterday. This should indicate that Cody had done most of the rehearsals and knew what to expect. It's a difficult blow to overcome. The rules allow them to compete again this week, based on the last week's rehearsal footage. This would be undoubtedly more difficult. However, we don't know what will happen next week. Although it was rough, Cody had some great salsa moments. Cody needed to improve his hip movement consistency, sinking a bit onto the floor, and being present in the dance. Was he just watching Cheryl? It would have been a great rehearsal piece and would have been exciting to see live on the big stage.

Judges Scores 6, 6, and 6

My Score : 5

Melanie C & Gleb Savchenko

After a solid first week, this was a big step up for Spice Girl. She danced with joy and was fully present in the moment. She was also dancing with great content, grace, and control. We loved her carriage, legs, and the way she performed each movement. This was a confident foxtrot. The spin was flawless. Melanie C is a strong contender in what's looking like a very competitive season.

Judges Scores 7, 8, 8

My Score: 7.

Suni Lee & Sasha Farber

(Cha Cha Cha). Suni is technically proficient and extremely strong. However, she is too focused on her own thoughts and lacks the courage to let go of her shield and just breathe. Although her movements are precise, they lack the fluidity or looseness required. She feels tight all through, almost as though she is tensing every muscle. She must relearn her muscle memory for dance. The only way to do that is to let go the tight control she has over herself.

Anderson Cooper Will Not Be Leaving Wyatt an Inheritance

RESULTS AND PREDICTIONS

The women have been dominating this competition so far. They occupied the top six spots in this week's leaderboard. Jimmie Allen was tied with the two bottom slots. The Miz followed closely, and then came the men. They'll have to work hard if they want keep up with these powerful women.

The scores for the first two weeks combined show that the six first ladies are ahead of the three next women. There then follows three more women and two more men at the bottom. It could be interesting and unpredictable, as many of the men are having similar seasons towards the bottom. There should be no doubt this week.

Martin Kove's overall score is not even close. His total score for the two weeks is less than what some couples have achieved in their individual weeks. He should be applauded for joining the show, as it allows them all to have their acts together for three weeks.

It is difficult to predict next week as Matt James and Brain Austin Green are all giving similar "meh" performances. Cody would be our choice if we had to choose one. We don't believe the Peloton crowd will be as large in Cody's corner as the "90210" fans and NBA fans for the other two.

This week it was down to five finalist: The Miz (Kenya Moore, Brain Austin Green and Christine Chiu) and Martin Kove. Although they always say that this is random, we feel these five couples are most at risk (or in the mix) for next week.

Next was Brian Austin Green, Kenya Moore, and then the MIz. Martin and Christine were the bottom 2, which makes sense. We aren't sure that the "DWTS", or "Cobra Kai", audience is as familiar as "Bling Empire".

Christine is in the mix at the bottom tier, just above Martin. However, this was Martin's week, even though it was up to judges. They couldn't keep Martin in the competition because Christine has so much potential to shine and make her mark in this ballroom.

It was likely a mercy elimination for Martin Kove. Although he did show some improvement, he knew he would be going nowhere this season. He didn't enjoy Week 1 and probably won't like the second one as much.

Every Monday, "Dancing with the Stars," continues at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
