After a long battle with cancer, Fuller Goldsmith, a winner of "Chopped Junior" as well as a contestant in "Top Chef Junior," has died. He was only 17.

Magical Elves, the company that produces "Top Chef Junior," announced his death on its Instagram page.

The company shared a photo of Fuller Goldsmith, a young chef, and wrote that they were devastated to hear about the passing of their "Top Chef Junior" alum. He was an amazing chef and one of the most strong kids we have ever seen.

The statement said, "From the moment he was introduced to our family, we knew that he would have an impact on all those around him and make a positive contribution in the world of cooking." We send our deepest condolences to his family as they grieve the loss of someone truly special.

Vanessa Lachey, hostess of Top Chef Junior, shared the sentiment and commented below.

"We all Loved Fuller so much! She wrote that she will never forget Fuller's contagious smile, laughter and butter tricks. His family is in our thoughts and prayers. Fuller, we will never forget!

Goldsmith shared with his followers in a series Instagram posts that his cancer had returned. Goldsmith shared with his followers that doctors discovered a brain tumour after he felt sick.

"After weeks of nausea and dizziness, my doctors discovered a brain tumour. He wrote that he will undergo surgery on Tuesday to remove the tumor. "If it's cancer, I'm willing to fight to keep my winning streak alive. #notgivingup #ihatecancer

The budding chef was informed that his leukemia had recurred after he underwent surgery.

"Unfortunately, the news about the tumor wasn't what I expected. The same Leukemia has returned. He wrote that he plans to begin proton radiation at UAB as soon ....hopefully within two weeks." "I will be receiving radiation for 12 days and then more chemotherapy to ensure it is gone. Round 5: I'm ready for battle! #allidoiswin."

Goldsmith was only three years old when he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic Leukemia. He won "Chopped Junior" in 2017, when he turned 13. He was 13 years old when he appeared on "Top Chef Junior" and won the inaugural season. However, he had to withdraw from the contest due to illness.

His last social media posting, which featured the photo of him at top of the article, was three months ago.
