Ina Garten's favorite cooking tool is worth the investment

Side by side screengrabs of Ina Garten and her favorite cooking tools

Ina Garten shows that not all expensive ingredients are necessary to make spectacular dishes. Garten's legendary dinner parties, which feature delicious homemade dishes, have shown us that culinary delights do not need to cost a fortune.

Garten also understands the importance of investing in her cookware. A few extra dollars now can make a difference between quality tools and ones that are disposable in a year. Garten is a loyal customer of a specific brand of cookware. She's used the same brand since 1970.

The Barefoot Contessa is a huge fan of Le Creuset. You can see this brand almost every time Garten makes one of her delicious meals if you pay attention.

Williams Sonoma was informed by Garten that she owns a whole rack of Le Creuset because she uses it every day. Although all Le Creuset has been approved by Ina, the Barefoot Contessa still loves orange, cream and lime green. Even coordinates the color with what she's cooking. Garden paid tribute to Julia Child by making a delicious beef Bourguignon. She was sure to get out her famous orange Dutch oven when she did. Garten stated that she uses it to make "wintery items: soups, stews, and other things."

Garten loves this cult-favorite cookingware. But what is it exactly that she likes about it? Two factors are the key to finding out the answer.

Ina Garten: Why Le Creuset is a Good Investment

Le Creuset is the standard in the culinary world. Le Crueset is a top-quality product thanks to its innovative design features, such as heat-resistant handles and outstanding thermal stability. A dupe can't match Le Creuset. Many people who have tried a Dutch oven may have become frustrated by the heavy-handed nature of any other Le Creuset product.

Garten says that Le Creuset is her favorite cookware, despite the many options available. They are expensive but last a lifetime. They are also very easy to clean," Garten shared his experience with House Beautiful. After I've done the dishes, I soak them in hot soapy water. Then I let them rest overnight. Garten says that all you need to make them look new again is a sponge.

One of our Editors couldn’t agree more. "My large Le Creuset 15 1/2-quart Dutch oven was a gift from my girlfriend. It's been a great relationship, but the oven is the best thing I have ever had." He added, "I use it for everything except boiling water. It can be used on the stovetop, in the oven and is available for use in almost all my cooking.

She suggested that the Le Creuset French Oven (9-quart) be used to make Garten's hearty soups and stews. You can also cook in orange (Flame) if you want to coordinate colors like she does.

Le Creuset is a superior brand due to its durability and ease-of-cleaning, according to Garten. However, they are equally beautiful. The Le Creuset oval au-gratin dishes can be used to serve delicious baked eggs and vegetable gratins. Garten mentioned that she also has many white oval Apilco baking dishes available in different sizes.
