James Van Der Beek was married to Kimberly Brook. They welcomed their sixth child, a little boy called Jeremiah, last fall. After losing two pregnancies in the 17th weeks, the couple welcomed their sixth child. It was a joyous occasion. Just a few months old, Jeremiah brings Van Der Beek fans lots of joy with his cute, cheeky cheeks.

One Big Happy Family

Six children is quite a feat by any standards, and Van Der Beek is proud of every single one. He posts adorable photos of his children on his Instagram account. While this is not the first picture of Jeremiah's face, it is the first that shows the youngster's face.

The Dawson Creek star said that mothers can literally "grow a baby inside of them" and then asked, "What can dads?" He replied, writing, "We have got to do it a little differently." This has been a blessing. This is a chance to change our behavior, to disrupt our priorities and schedules to EARN a magical capability: The ability to put another person's needs before our own, with no acknowledgement, thank you or smile.

Van Der Beek offers some advice about how to do this. He says, "So if your baby regards you more like 'Not the Mama' than as 'Dada '..., if you hold them, while they cry and whine because you're unable to give them what they want, allow me to offer this reframe: You are not failing...you're earning an extraordinary power."

It was a hit with CSI Cyber fans. One wrote, "Your baby's adorable!" "This is a beautiful first photo! Another one commented, "Thank you! Many of his fans are now taking his fatherly advice seriously, with one commenter saying that "Your dad perspectives were some of the most inspirational and thoughtful I have ever seen."
