You may also be aware that Kardashian was married to Kris Humphries (NBA player), for 72 days before she got to Kanye. You may not be aware that Humphries wasn't Kim Kardashian's first husband. When she was only 19, the media mogul at 41 years old got married in 2000. Who was Kim Kardashian's first husband, then? This is the scoop on the relationship between Damon Thomas and Kim Kardashian.

Kim Kardashian and Damon Thomas Wed in 2000

Damon Thomas's Instagram bio describes him as a "Grammy Award winning Producer and Golden Globe & Academy Award Nominated producer." He is best known for his work with Mason Jr. in The Underdogs, which was a pop production company that collaborated with artists like Pink, Lionel Richie and Chris Brown.

Kim Kardashian was only 19 years old when she married Damon Thomas, a 10 year older than her. They got married soon after they met, a spontaneous decision Kardashian admitted was fuelled by a party drug.

Kim was high on Ecstasy at Their Wedding

Kim shared the reason she walked down the aisle with Damon Thomas a few years back on an episode Keeping up With the Kardashians. "I got married in ecstasy. She spoke of her first marriage to Thomas, and said it was the first time. The KUWTK star said that it had affected her judgment. "I had ecstasy once, and then I got married. It was again my turn. I made a tape of sex. I was sure that everything would go wrong."

Kim also stated that she was naive and used to place the men she dated on a pedestal. In a 2011 interview with Harper's Bazaar , Kim said that she used to be dependent on the men with whom she was in a relationship. "I don't understand why, because I wasn't raised like that." When I was 19, I would look at myself and say, "Wake up! You are too smart for this!"

Reality TV star said, "As my age has passed, I have learned so much about relationships. My tolerance level is so much different. After years of being in bad relationships, you finally grow up."

Damon was alleged to have been controlling and violent towards Kim

It appears that the couple attempted to make things work despite their drug-fueled and hasty wedding. However, by 2003 it was clear that this marriage was not to be. According to court papers obtained from the Daily Mail ,Thomas was extremely controlling and possessive towards his wife. "Damon made decisions about what and when we would do them. Kardashian disclosed in her filing that he was the King of the castle.

According to the socialite Thomas made his wife quit college and wouldn't let her do work. He wanted to know where and with whom she was at all times. Kardashian stated that Damon told her not to leave the house until she had told him where and when I was going. Damon wouldn't allow me to leave at times. He wouldn't allow me to go alone to the mall or with my friends. He said that he didn't want men to be able to 'hit me'. He wouldn't allow me to go to dinner with friends that I had known since childhood. Damon was not at home so I had to call him to ask permission to leave.

Things got worse. Kardashian claimed that Thomas began hitting her shortly after she got married. Court papers cite multiple instances. KKW Beauty's queen claimed that Thomas became violent when she was caught paging. "He became angry and punched me in my face. She said that my face was bruised and swelling as a result. "I considered calling the police, but I was afraid so I decided to not do so. Another time, we had an argument at the marital residence. He grabbed me by the arm and slammed my head against the sliding mirror in our bedroom's closet."

They Divorced in 2004

Kardashian claimed that the abuse continued after their divorce in 2003. According to court papers, Thomas had an argument with her when she went to their home to retrieve some of her belongings.

She described, "He came at my face and slammed against the closet wall." He slapped me against the wall, wrapped his arms around my neck, and threatened to choke. He took one of his hands and punched the wall directly next to me. He grabbed my hair and told to get out. He placed one hand on my back and pushed it up the stairs. The front door is at ground level, while the bedroom is at one-level below. He threw me across a room, and I fell against the front door. I ran out of my house and got up. I was scared."

Thomas filed for divorce shortly after the couple separated. Thomas denied ever having a relationship with his ex-wife and said that she was cheating on him. In an interview with in Touch, he also spoke unflattering words about Kardashian. He told the tabloid that Kim is obsessed with fame. She can't sing, dance or write so she does dangerous things to prove herself to the media. To me, that's a celebrity. It's not cool."

Kardashian didn't let her bitter divorce from her first marriage ruin her love for the man she loved. In a 2011 interview with Glomou , Kardashian admitted that she believes in love and dreams of a perfect marriage. However, her idea of what it is has changed. I don't believe I can live in a fairytale. Maybe I need to be more realistic and snap out of it.

Damon Thomas Where Are You Now?

Damon Thomas, now 50, is the CEO and owner at Thomas Krown Records. It has collaborated with many top-tier artists such as Justin Beiber and Babyface, Justin Timberlake, Toni Braxon, Beyonce, and Justin Timberlake. Thomas continues to work on projects other than his label. He arranged the music for Straight Outta Compton, as well as producing the soundtracks to Pitch Perfect 2, Pitch Perfect 2 and Dreamgirls. Thomas shares a 14 year-old son with Sarai Torres, his ex-partner.
