LL Cool J brought his character Sam Hanna to the finale of "NCIS Hawai'i", just one day after his own "NCIS Los Angeles" series. He'll return for more in Season 3.

Even the cancellation of LL Cool J’s Special Agent Sam Hanna's show wasn't enough to bring him down!

The character of Hanna made a surprise appearance in the season finale for sister show NCIS: Hawai'i, just one night after her apparent farewell on "NCIS Los Angeles," after 14 seasons. There is still more to come.

It was just in time for Jane Tennant, Special Agent-in Charge (Vanessa Lachey), and Kate Whistler, NCIS-FBI liaison (Tori Anderson). Sam Hanna is behind the scope of a sniper rifle that takes down one of their would be killers in Venezuela.

Hanna called Tennant and let her know that he would be available for assistance if she needed it. Hanna told Tennant that he "was in the neighborhood" as a joke, referring to the fact that he had been in Morocco by the end of the episode "LA."

When she asked him why he was in Venezuela, he replied, "Morocco actually, but what's an ocean and a few borders?"

It looks like John Swift, the Supervisory Agent (Henry Ian Cusick), will take him up later on his offer. Overheard saying "It wouldn't hurt to add more people to the team," he may have an idea of who is the best person for the job.

After the episode aired on the show, executive producers Matt Bosack (executive producer), Jan Nash (executive producer) and Christopher Silber (executive producer) confirmed the addition of LL Cool J. According to Variety, they said, "We at 'NCIS Hawai'i,' have all been huge fans for years, and we couldn't be happier or more honored to add his spectacular talent in our ohana.

Lachey, too, was thrilled, praising the fact that "NCIS" is already able to connect, as evidenced by the recent triple crossover of the two spinoffs with the parent series.

She added, "Now we have an amazing opportunity to bring Sam Hanna here to Hawai’i to help solve some cases on the island and maybe even have a few giggles in the process." "Welcome, Todd!" "It's going be a great ride!"

This is his second cameo after the triple crossover. Lachey invited LL Cool J, who was then on the island to play, and he joked with ET on the Grammys carpet about it in February.
