Maria Menounos is expecting her first child with husband Keven Undergaro.

The 44-year old TV host made the announcement today on "Live with Kelly & Ryan," informing viewers that the couple will have a surrogate baby later this year.

We had many plans. We were going to Greece this summer. She cried as she shared the big life update, saying that we had to change it because she was having a baby.

She said that she had to share the news because she and her family are "my family", adding that she is "super excited" after trying for a child for almost a decade.

"It's been a long while, we've tried everything. They tried to get me pregnant but that didn't work. Kevin had surgery that did not work. He hung me upside-down like a chicken. That didn't work. We did everything," Menounos said, sharing their ongoing experiences with IVF, surrogacy and other related topics.

"But we were so fortunate. "Zoe Saldana, Kim Kardashian and I have been so supportive in this journey and they both gave us all their advice and people," she said.

Kim, in particular, provided me with a wonderful lawyer, and he also found me Stephanie, who helped me find my surrogate," Menounos said. "We're so, so thankful because these people truly help you bring your life forward." We wouldn't be able to achieve this without them."

She called her surrogate, and the surrogate’s family "literal Angels", before saying that the couple is "so grateful" for all the help they have received.

Menounos said that after trying everything for a decade, they are grateful to their beautiful family for helping them conceive their baby. "Keven, my father and I are beyond thrilled for this precious soul to enter our lives. It is truly a blessing.
