It sounds like this could be a family trait!

Mariah Carey has been the star of the holiday for many years. But this year, it seems like she is ready to share it with Monroe, her 11-year old daughter.

Mariah proudly presented Mariah with the beautiful, not-trademarked Queen Of Christmas and her little girl in matching gowns.

She told the packed crowd at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena that "this is my baby girl, right here." "Eleven years ago, I received the greatest gift. Although I don't celebrate birthdays, the birthing day of my twins, Roc, and Roe, was the best gift I received."

Then she shared with us that they were going to sing the Christmas classic "Away in a Manger". She said that it was their first performance together, but they had "been working at this one for a while."

Monroe didn't try to join her mother in her whistle-tones. However, they did have a brief whistle moment towards the middle of the piece. Monroe could have had Monroe's mother's five-octave range. She had a gorgeous tone that worked beautifully alongside her mother, regardless of whether she did.

The crowd was captivated by the beautiful pairing of mother-daughter, and fan-shared videos helped spread the love throughout social media.

Mariah described this concert as a dress rehearsal, trial run and her first concert since the COVID-19 pandemic. Mariah was scheduled to perform four shows, including two in Toronto and two at Madison Square Garden in New York.

All this is leading up to the CBS debut of Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas To All, Tuesday, December 20, at 8 p.m. ET and possibly featuring the amazing pipes of Monroe Cannon, for at least one moment.
