Martha Stewart Admits to One Cosmetic Procedure But Denies Plastic Surgery After Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

Martha praises the fact that her swimsuit shoot did not have too much "airbrushing".

Martha Stewart sets the record straight with her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2023 cover.

The 81-year old homemaker became the oldest model to cover the magazine's famous swimsuit issue Tuesday. Stewart's photos were a source of admiration for many, but some fans claimed she had been overly photo-shopped. Others accused her that she underwent surgery.

Stewart told Variety that the comments on Instagram were "very good." There are only a handful of people who say that the pictures are too retouched. They're not. These are amazing pictures. "I was very pleased to see that the pictures were not heavily airbrushed."

The "Martha Stewart Living' host denied all plastic surgery claims and said that she maintains good skin and hair by following a regimen that includes taking vitamins and using sun protection.

"It is not true." I have had no cosmetic surgery. I have healthy hair. I drink green juice every day. I take my vitamin supplements. I eat a very healthy diet. I see very good dermatologists. I am very careful when it comes to the sun. "I wear hats every day and sunblock," she added.

To prepare for the shoot, Martha began to go to Pilates three days a week. She also watched her diet and stopped drinking alcohol. Martha said, "I got my usual facials more often and also a spray-tan." "I'm not hairy, but I had a full body wax."

The Emmy-winning actress revealed that she has had different fillers throughout the years, despite never having undergone any kind of plastic surgery.

She admitted, "I can sometimes use fillers to cover a small line or wrinkle here and there but I don't like Botox." It's strange for me. "I don't really do much."

Stewart became the oldest model to cover the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2023. The businesswoman revealed that she does not "think much about age" but wanted to show the world age is only a number.

She told SI, "When I found out that I would be on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover, I thought 'Oh that's pretty cool, I'm going to be the oldest person, I believe, ever on the Sports Illustrated cover.'" "I don’t really think about my age, but this is a historic moment and I had to look good."

Stewart continued, "I wanted to show people that a woman of my age could still look good and feel good. She can be good. "I want to make other women feel like they can be on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover."
