The "Weekend Update" anchors Colin Jost & Michael Che take their pranks to a whole new level!

Che took advantage of the fact that this weekend's episode on Saturday Night Live also fell on April Fool's Day and decided to use it to his advantage live on air.

Jost, 39, and Che, 39 began their regular segment with jokes about Trump's indictment. When the former noticed that his jokes weren't catching on, he started to realize that they were not getting any attention from the audience. Staten Island native Che noticed the difference in the laughter and the applause they would get for their jokes.

He tried another Trump joke, and an audience member yelled, "You suckers!" Che burst into laughter and let his co-star know the joke.

Jost was shocked to learn that he had told Jost to not laugh at him for April Fools.

"I was like, "Am I not mic'd?" "I was like, "Am I not mic'd?" Then I was like, "Oh, I just sucked," the "How to be Single actor" laughed as his co-host tried to continue their segment. "You're evil!" Jost exclaimed.

Despite trying to carry on their jokes, Colin finally lost his humor and began laughing again. "That's the most mean thing you've done." He admitted that he was covered in sweat.

Jost responded to the crowd's attempts to applaud harder for Che's jokes in an attempt to make up for Che's prank.

They have a long history together as co-head writers for the late night variety show.

Che disclosed that he had decided to not prank Jost at Scarlett Johansson's October 2020 wedding in May 2021.

During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres show, the comedian said that she wanted to disrupt and create a big mess. "Then, I got there, and it was just like a normal people's wedding. It turns out that they are normal. It was so sweet. It was sweet. They had their day.
