Miranda Lambert Concertgoer Responds to Selfie Shaming: Felt like a 'Teacher Scolding Me'

Miranda Lambert Concertgoer Responds to Selfie Shaming: Felt like a 'Teacher Scolding Me'

Adela Calin (43), told NBC News that she felt like the woman was determined to make her look young, immature, and vain.

A woman who went to a Miranda Lambert show is speaking out, after the country singer publicly humiliated her and her friends because they took a photo of a group during her concert.

In a TikTok viral video of Lambert's Las Vegas show on Saturday night she was singing "Tin Man" before suddenly pausing.

She said, "I'm going to stop here for a second." "These girls don't care about the song and are only concerned with taking a selfie. It makes me a little pissed off."

In an interview published Monday, Adela Cain, one of the concertgoers that was called out by the security guard, reacted in a negative way to the incident.

Calin, 43, a Las Vegas-based social media influencer suggested that Lambert's behaviour could have been influenced by the trend where fans throw objects at performers while they are on stage. Cain, a 43-year-old Las Vegas social media influencer, said that she was "appalled by Lambert's" reaction.

"It took 30 seconds or less." She and her friends said, "We took the picture quickly, and we were going to sit down again."

Cain said, "It was like being back at school where the teacher would scold me for something I did wrong and tell me to get back into my seat." "... "... "But we were grown women between the ages of 30 and 60 trying to take a photo."

Calin said that she and friends tried to take some group photos before the concert started, but the lighting was not ideal. Calin told us that she had asked the woman sitting behind her group to take their photo near the end of the show.

She recalled, "We couldn't take a single good photo." "We were so excited, because I thought we had the best seat in the entire theater."

Calin posted the photos of her group on Monday on her Instagram account.

Miranda Lambert captioned this photo: "These are two pictures that we talked about when Miranda Lambert told us not to take selfies and to sit down,"

Fans shared their opinions in the comments of the post and the TikTok viral video. Some social media users supported Lambert's actions. However, most sided with Calin, her friends, and condemned the singer's behaviour.

I was right behind her and saw what she did to you. After the event, I saw your faces. "I cannot believe what she did," wrote a person. I'm disgusted, to be honest. I'm sorry you had to experience that side of fame. I have the video where she tells you to sit down. "It's so disgusting."

Another person added, "Honestly, what she did was SO incredibly rude." You paid to be there and if you wanted a photo, that was none of her concern unless she said no cameras were allowed! I'm so sorry she treated you all this way. She has definitely lost respect for her."

A fan said, "in my opinion, miss miranda should apologize to you guys for her behavior." Some of the comments state that she was upset by the flash. Bothered by the Flash? What about the stage lights that are literally on her? I used to really like Miranda, but this has made me less respectable. She doesn't engage her audience like other artists who care about their fans. When she engages, how does she do it? The disrespect is really diesrespectin’."

Lambert has not yet addressed the situation or responded to the backlash. TooFab has contacted her representatives for a comment.
