MrBeast aka Jimmy Donaldson is the most popular creator on YouTube. He was invited to ride in a Titan submersible earlier this month, but declined.
MrBeast feels a little scared about what might have happened a week after Titan's tragedy.
The YouTube star Jimmy Donaldson said on Sunday morning that he had been invited to see the Titanic in person earlier this month.
The creator shared a screenshot of a text message that seemed to confirm his story on Twitter. He tweeted: "I was asked earlier this month to take a ride on the Titanic submarine. I declined." "Kinda scary that I might have been on it."
The screen grab shows an apparent message that MrBeast received. It reads, "I'm also going to the Titanic on a submarine later this month." The team would love to have you with them."
MrBeast is the most popular YouTube creator. He has 151 millions followers on his main YouTube channel and 24 million more on his Spanish channel. It is not clear if he intended to create content for OceanGate Expeditions' TItan Tours of the sunken vessel.
The Coast Guard and OceanGate Expeditions confirmed on Thursday that the worst had happened: Stockton Rush and Shahzada Dawood of OceanGate Expeditions, Hamish Harding and Titanic enthusiast Paul-Henri Nargeolet, along with billionaire Hamish and adventurer Hamish, all died aboard this vessel which disappeared shortly after its Sunday dive.
In an emotional statement sent to Glasgow Live by the Dawood family, they expressed their grief over the death of father and son.
They wrote: "In this tragic event, we are trying to find comfort from the legacy of humanity and humility that they have left and take comfort in knowing that they continued their spiritual journey together, father and son."
Harding's family, Action Aviation and people released a joint statement regarding Harding's death. They said they were "united with other families that have lost loved ones on Titan."
The statement said that Hamish Harding, who was loved by his wife and his two sons whom he adored deeply, was "a loving husband and father." "To his Action Aviation team, he served as a mentor, inspiration, supporter, and Living Legend."
A statement by Nargeolet’s family stated, "When you consider the Titanic, and everything we know today about it, you'll think of Paul-Henri Nargeolet, and his legendary work."
They added, "But we will remember his huge heart, his incredible humor and the love he had for his family." "We will be missing him today, and every day of the rest our lives."
Stockton Rush’s family did not release a statement. However, OceanGate, Stockton Rush’s company, did. They announced the loss of the CEO and other passengers on Thursday. Wendy Rush, Rush's spouse, is currently the Director of Communications for OceanGate and an Expedition Team Member.
"These men shared a spirit of adventure and a passion for exploring the oceans and protecting them. During this time of tragedy, our hearts go out to these five souls as well as their families. The statement said: "We mourn the loss of their lives and the joy they brought to all they knew."
