Police issue Amber Alert to Two-Day-Old Child after Dad admits to 'Tossing her into the Mississippi River.

He is also accused of killing the mother of the baby.

Police in Memphis posted a sad update to the Amber Alert regarding a 2-day-old girl who was missing. It is now a recovery operation.

Memphis Police Department issued an alert Tuesday after they found an abandoned vehicle in Whitehaven. They ran the tags and discovered that it belonged to Danielle Hoyle, 27, who was running the tags.

They reached out to her family and were told that Kennedy had been taken to the hospital by her mother earlier in the day. Officers discovered the body of the mother while talking to her family. She was shot to death.

The baby was not seen.

Investigators immediately began a search for Kennedy. They found her empty car seat near a dumpster in a Walmart lot but she was not there.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert to the child missing. It stated that Kennedy was last seen wearing a black-and-white polka dots onesie with pink pants. The alert also shared photos of the infant. She is 6lbs. She is 17 inches in length. She has brown hair, and brown eyes.

However, investigators informed public that they had stopped looking for the child's body 24 hours later.

"Brandon Isabelle, the father of missing newborn Kennedy Hoyle, has been charged with First Degree Murder (2x), Murder in the Perpetration of Aggravated Kidnapping, Especially Aggravated Kidnapping, and Tampering/Fabricating with Evidence in connection with the deaths of Danielle and Kennedy Hoyle," Memphis PD said.

"Kennedy Hoyle is not yet located. However, evidence suggests she may be dead. Her remains will be recovered as the search continues.

WMC reported that Isabelle admitted later to leading Hoyle to the Levi-Sedgwick area and shooting her.

According to an affidavit, he also admitted to "taking the two-day old child out Danielle's car, driving it to Island Park and the Upper Mud Island Boat Ramp where he tossed him into the water."

Isabelle said that Kennedy also shot Kennedy's mother with the same gun he used to shoot her.

Isabelle was taken into custody, held without bond and will be arraigned on Friday. According to the outlet his only previous offenses were traffic infractions.

The motive behind the murders has not been revealed by police.

Kennedy's remains have not been located. Due to inclement weather on Thursday, the search was temporarily suspended. The search will resume Friday morning.

April Campbell, who had just held her granddaughter for ten seconds when she learned that her daughter was dead, told WLOX that she had been holding on to the hope that she would not be hurt.

"Why would anyone want to harm a baby?" She is precious. She said that she didn't do anything for you. "Y'all could take her to a fire station or a police station and drop her off on someone's porch. "I'm praying she won't be hurt."

WMC was informed by Isabelle about her arrest and confession. She said that she wanted him to feel the pain that he caused my baby. He should feel pain. It shouldn't be difficult for him. He should suffer. He must suffer. "Why would you harm a baby?"
