Fans can expect new looks on shows such as "Moon Knight" or "Obi Wan Kenobi."
Disney+ is ready to take over the Internet.
The Walt Disney Company, as a gesture of gratitude to its global subscribers, announced earlier this year the first annual Disney+ Day -- and it's all down today.
The streamer will be streaming the event on their various social media accounts. It will include a variety of sneak peeks into their future projects across all their bands, including Disney, Pixar and Marvel as well as Star Wars and National Geographic.
Fans hope to see new MCU shows such as "Moon Knight," She-Hulk, "Hawkeye," and "Ms. Marvel," along with Star Wars series like "Obi-Wan Kenneobi," "Ahsoka," and "The Book of Boba Fett," Season 3.
The streamer will also add films such as "Shang-Chi" and "The Legend of the Ten Rings", "Jungle Cruise" or the fan favorite "Enchanted", to its library Friday. It will also premiere new projects, including the "Home Alone 2" sequel "Home Sweet Home Alone", "Olaf Presents" "Luca" and the short "Ciao Alberto".
As new footage, announcements and first looks photos come in, we'll continue to update this post!
The Rock and Emily Blunt opened the celebrations with their trademark banter. This video not only started the day, but also reiterated that their film "Jungle Cruise" is now available on streamer.
Disney+ shared the first trailer for "The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild," a movie about the "Ice Age", and confirmed that there would be a new movie soon. Star Simon Pegg shared a message with fans.
After the events of Big Hero 6, the streamer confirmed that a Baymax series was coming to Summer 2022.
In March 2022, "Cheaper by the Dozen," a new movie starring Gabrielle Union, Zach Braff and others, will also be released. Union says the movie will be about a 12-member multiracial blended family who navigates their home and manages their family business.
Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey shot a video to celebrate "Enchanted", which dropped on Disney+. They also confirmed that "Disenchanted," the sequel, will be coming out in Fall 2022.
A streamer will also feature an animated "Diary of a Wimpy Kid", with the first poster being revealed. In 2022, another film in the series, "Rodrick Rules", will be released.
The streaming service will soon have Peter Jackson's three-part episode, "The Beatles: Get Back", on November 25th. Also, an animated Rescue Rangers movie featuring Andy Samberg and John Mulaney as Chip and Dale in spring 2022.
Samberg said that the movie was not a "reboot", but a "comeback", whatever that might mean!
In Spring 2022, an original movie called "Better Nate Than Ever" with Aria Brookes and Michelle Federer will be released. Joshua Bassett, the star of "High School Musical: The Musical Series", will play his big brother Nate. Lisa Kudrow (supporting roles) and Norbert Leo Butz (supporting roles) will also star in the movie.
Also, we got our first glimpse at Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker as they film "Hocus Pocus 2", which will be available on Disney+ in Fall 2022.
