Queen Elizabeth is having a drinking problem. Doctors have advised her to stop drinking her favorite drink. Here's the scoop.

No More Martinis

Elizabeth has always loved a little bit of alcohol. Her preferred drink is dry martinis, which are also a favorite of Prince Charles. It makes perfect sense, given the long-standing connection of the royal family to James Bond. However, her relatives and ex-chefs claim that she used to drink four alcoholic drinks per day, one with each meal, and one before bed. She's now told to drink only water and soft drinks. She is now being advised by her doctors to stop drinking alcohol.

Multiple sources tell Vanity Fair Elizabeth has to stop drinking. A friend of hers said that Elizabeth isn't really drinking much, and she doesn't drink a lot. However, her days of drinking only in private are over. She sounds upset by the fact that she doesn't have a nightly drink, but she is keeping her cool and going about her business as usual.

Trying Times

Elizabeth has had a difficult year. She has had a lot to do this year, with the loss of Prince Philip, COVID-19, as well as the drama surrounding Prince Andrew. Despite all of this, she is still full of energy and completes her duties with ease.

Her health is still a concern at 95. To help her fulfill her royal duties, she has taken to using a cane.

Climate Change: A Focus

Climate change is a topic Elizabeth is very upset about. Recently, she was heard ranting about the United Nations' climate conference and the lack of engagement from other countries. "We only know people who aren't coming... it's really annoying when they talk but don't do." The conference begins in a few weeks and the goal is for world leaders to come together to discuss green strategies for the benefit of the future.

Elizabeth is not the only royal dissatisfied with climate change. It's actually one of the issues her grandson, Prince Willaim, and Prince Harry share in common. William is dealing with the situation by announcing The Earthshot Prize and Prince Harry is partnering up with a green investment firm. The entire royal family seems to be on the same page about the poor status quo.
