Todd and Julie Chrisley Get Prison Release Dates Moved Up

Todd, and Julie Chrisley are coming home earlier than expected.

According to federal prison records as of September 7, both Todd & Julie's release dates have been accelerated.

Todd, who had reported to the Federal Correctional Institution Pensacola (FPI) in Florida in January, has his release date moved up two years to January 22, 2033. Julie, who's serving at FMC Lexington, Kentucky, will be released on October 19, 2028, a year, three months and a half earlier than she was originally due to.

Jay Surgent, the attorney for Todd and Julie, told Insider that "Without doubt, Todd is down to 10 years, and Julie is now at five years." "I think Todd is down to ten years and Julie is at five years," said Jay Surgent, the pair's attorney.

Eight months ago, the pair started their respective federal jail sentences due to bank fraud and tax avoidance. Todd was initially sentenced to 12 years in prison, while Julie received seven.

The couple will be required to complete 16 months probation after completing their sentences.

The couple's sentences were reduced after it was revealed that the family would return to reality television with a brand new series. This will feature Chase, Savannah, Grayson, Chloe and "Nanny Faye Chrisley" as they both spend time in prison.

According to a Scout Productions release, "the upcoming series, which has yet to be titled, will show the Chrisleys as they are -- as dynamically funny and entertaining as ever but without shying away authentic drama or grit, making them as relatable as always."

This next family iteration marks the continuation of the story of the Chrisley family after their historic run on reality TV juggernaut Chrisley knows best.

Savannah noted that the move was timely and the family looks forward to telling their story.

She said, "They're ability balance popular culture with empathy through authentic storytelling, is unmatched, and I know that they're going find the right home for the next chapter in our lives." "We're happy to be back," she added.

Chrisley Knows best ran on USA for 10 seasons. The first episode of the series aired in 2014. It was followed by Growing up Chrisley. After Todd and Julie were sent to prison, both shows were cancelled.
