Tyler, who had seen Carly for the first-time in two years, said that "it doesn't get any better."

On Tuesday's episode of Teen Mom OG, Tyler and Catelynn Baltierra experienced a rollercoaster of emotions.

After two years of not seeing their daughter Carly, who they adopted when she was just 16, the parents, their other children and Tyler's mom met Carly and her adoptive family, Brandon and Teresa.

Catelynn said, "This is an emotional journey we're still trying too navigate." She expressed shock at their first child being twelve years old. "I didn't realize how joyous and difficult it would be when Ty and I decided to semi-open adopt at 16 years old. Out of respect for her adoptive parents, Brandon & Teresa, Carly was 4 years old when the cameras were not allowed at our visits. Now, I'm focusing on the girls and their relationship as sisters.

They are the parents of three daughters: Novalee (6 years old), Vaeda (2 years old), and Rya (who was not yet born at the time this episode was shot).

MTV cameras captured the group walking up to a park, waving at each other, but did not show Carly Brandon or Teresa. After the meeting, the show picked up.

"We just went to Carly's park and everything went well. Catelynn said that it was an amazing experience to see her after two years. Tyler also said Nova and Carly were "hard" playing together. Both Catelynn and Tyler commented on how strange it was to see Carly grow up, Tyler saying that she talks to "adult-ish" now. "I notice that I am saying 10 times as many slang words as she is!"

Later that night, the group reconnected for dinner. Unfortunately, this time it was not captured on camera. Tyler, a tearful Tyler, was seen hugging Dawn, the adoption counselor, in the parking lot.

Dawn said to him, "She loves you guys so much. You know that." It's going to be the only thing she thinks and talks about for the rest of the week. She knows it's so important to her.

He was crying and said that it wasn't easy to see her, then say good-bye. Dawn said to him, "You wouldn’t be human if that happened."

Catelynn said that it was never easy to have such brief meetings when they return home from the dinner. Tyler's mom stated that Tyler seemed excited about the meetup and added, "I don’t want it happening because it will end."

Catelynn said that "sometimes it's difficult, but it is worth it." Tyler also said that he doesn't want to "cry in front" of Catelynn. Catelynn’s grandmother said that it may be healthier for him to be open with the girl.

She said that she was surprised at how she handled it. They could also approach it as "We're always so excited for you to see us, but this is what's the sad part, saying goodbye can be hard."
