"Separations and breakups are not only sad, but they are also beautiful."

Zoe Kravitz shared a rare glimpse of her private life when she spoke out about her divorce from Karl Glusman, and how it shaped the creative process.

The 32-year old "The Batman" star spoke out to Another magazine on Thursday. She revealed that her split with the actor inspired some music on her forthcoming album.

Zoe said, "I wrote it over an extended period of time, subconsciously just trying to capture this range of emotions. It has been fascinating to look back and see what was written about them, now and then." It's personal. It's about love, loss and joy. I was married. I got divorced. Although separations and breakups can be painful, they are also beautiful.

She continued, "It's all about the bittersweetness that begins and ends." It's complex. That space is where you can be both sad and excited about the future.

In 2016, Zoe and Karl began dating for the first time. After a brief engagement that she confirmed in October 2018, Zoe and Karl would wed in June 2019 at Lenny Kravitz's Paris home. Zoe filed for divorce in December 2020. The finalization was made in August.

Recent reports have linked Zoe to Channing Tatum, actor who is reportedly starring as Zoe in "Pussy Islands", which Zoe wrote and will be filming. Two weeks ago, the two of them were seen getting cozy at the Met Gala's after parties.

Zoe also spoke to the outlet about "Pussy Islands", saying that she wanted to be careful with the information she released regarding the film, which took her four-years to make. The film has "a lot to the story"

She explained that her opinions and the world around me changed. "The characters and their interactions had to change as well." It was a living, breathing thing. Writing this movie has been an amazing journey. I love it. It's so exciting to bring it to life.
